  1. good info, thank you. however this is not a drastic lift, I am just installing outback struts on my legacy, and was wondering if anyone who had also done it knew what kind of aftermarket rear camber bolt i needed.
  2. So when i am aligning outback struts on my 91 legacy sedan, how much extra angle in a camber bolt do i need? is a 1.75 degree offset enough or do i need to get a 2.5 degree or more? thanks ~ Yohn
  3. why haven't i seen these pictures before?
  4. Oh, yes, many thanks to jeff for his talent with a spray can.
  5. Bump! Not mine and not exactly straight, but i had to post it. Belongs to Todd Martin, Subaru Fanatic Extraordinaire
  6. *UPDATE* I actually finished it! reminds me of a duck billed platypus... I might end up painting the hood black for kicks
  7. The ej22 is a flat four, i have no idea where you got your information. Gas milage is about 23 mpg with lots of variety depending on who you talk to.
  8. I've done it both on 27's and 30's. Would highly recommend 30's and a welded rear diff. And it's Walker Valley, not mount walker
  9. I know i have sent you the links about my set up already, but here they are again. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=99076 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=98826
  10. It's only about 60-40 that doesn't work in reverse, and in my car it only cycled power to the rear end to find traction. At the time, my front end was bottomed out on some ruts in a cabbage field. The switch makes life easier.
  11. I was thinking about pulling the throttles off of regular carbs and rigging a cable system. might work, or there might not be enough room...
  12. the issue with the one in our shop is the customer is experiencing a "lack of power". I test drove it up a moderate hill at 25 mph and i had it floored. it didnt quickly accelerate or downshift, just slowly increased speed.
  13. I need a throttle linkage to hook the carbs together. My engine didnt come with one. So either i need to jimmy something or i need to find a supplier of EA-81 dual carb parts (LOL)
  14. I see. i wasnt thinking of putting a front toyota part on the back of a subaru
  15. its a switch with a flip down cover i bought at O'rielly's. no lights, just the sun was lighting it funny. What ever was there did not come as an option in my car
  16. Hey guys i need all the info and links you can throw at me to find info about the gen 3 automatic three speed. We are trying to fix one at our shop and are having a heck of a time getting info about it. Any PDFs, USMB links or anything else would be great! Thank you
  17. Just used some butt connectors. i might use some electrical tape if i can get to it later
  18. A 4runner has a rear coil spring with a shock, not a strut. That would be used on gen 2 subarus that have torsion bars. There is no use for one on a loyale.
  19. ok. figured it out. the brown wire on the TCM wire bundle.
  20. So i have read about 10 different threads on various subaru boards, and i still cannot determine where the wire to splice into for the diff lock is. The only thread i found with pictures is old enough to not display them, and there isn't anywhere that says what color the wire is or anything. I did find one thread that said to splice the green wire w/ red stripe behind the passenger kickpanel, and that turned out to be the driver side auto seatbelt wire . So has anyone who has done this mod on a first gen legacy help me out here? Thanks
  21. I think there is something wrong with the strut you had. all of the gen 3 lifted and non lifted Subarus that i am aware of are running stock struts. and we beat them HARD. do you have any lift? what tires are you running? how do you drive off road? find a used set at your local pullapart/pickandpull/ etc. should run you about 40 bucks.
  22. back to life! Now, has anyone ever done this or heard of this? Twin webers on a dual carb EA-81. I found another one at a wrecking yard today with a subaru adapter! So either i am going to slap this weber on the motor currently in my wagon, or i am going to have a dual weber EA-81. MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
  23. i dont know if this type of lift will even work on a new gen subaru. I know a few people have done it, but i am not sure how it is done.
