when i was first getting into cars, i got into arguments about the sillyness of the car codes. but then again, that was years ago when i knew very little.

technically i have a gm6, but its easier than saying "2000 subaru impreza 2.5 rs 2 door coupe" but for ease of imagining the car, its easier to just call it a gc* i know its not a gc8, but one day it will be, i hope.i am hopinhg to go as far as full conversion, including interior and rhd. thats if i even keep an interior in the car, i might install a cage and run it as a track car. dont know yet what the future holds for me and my cars.

did you ever see the thing about tein being able to remake any set up as a fully adjustable coil over set? something like you send them your stuff, the reverse engineer em and send you back new performance bits for a cost.

i actually work for advance auto. ive tried to find that gasket, and there isnt a listing that ive seen. just get the rubberized felt gasket material. you might want to try making a layered gasket, cut out a few single layered gaskets using the material and bond them together with some permatex ultrablack rtv. but you should be fine with just a regular gasket made from that stuff.

sorry to drag up the past, but did anyone ever go any deper into this? i need new suspension bits and am seriosly looking for something better than stock.

if you make one that works for these cars, im down for one. i need some kind of tuning aid on my car, ive upgraded the turbo, fuel injectors and ignition, but now i have no way of making sure everything is tuned right for it.

i want to head down there to try to see my dad, he does realistate down there for sun reality. but needless to say, i havent seen him in years and any excuse to go to the beach is a good one.

damn, i should have stopped while it wwas still for sale, i could have got a loan or something, buy it would have become my new home mom dont want me bringing home anymore cars.

unless you get a converter for the signal going into and out of the safc, it wont work. you will hit fuel cut at part throttle, or something like that. the stock system uses a 12v signal from the maf and the safc is for newer cars that run a 5v signal. john, you had it right the firsst guess there man.

the legacy bits should be a direct replacement for the impreza, just make sure the gearing matches, mainly the final drive.
