WOO the Brat runs again!!!
bajavwnsoobnut replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
good to hear that that motor actualy runs! now to get that other motor and hey if you have an extra set of motor mounts can ya toss them in? gotta experiment I am gonna do once I get the money. and GD the jetting might be smaller as it is cause it's a 1600 not 1800 and the venturi size will be prolly perfect for that thing -

ok the FE coupe was sold to Moosens in which I took it to Mudrats after a bit byt the sounds of things moosens and mudrat made a deal for trading the car for parts then last time I heard it has been junked that's why I was saying that I was stupid to do that and for the wagon that was my first subie and that one I just recently found out the person I sold it to (she's an ex-friend of my wifes don't ask why ex) had abandoned it recently and it has been sold at auction and the reason why I know about that is because her ex-bf is our housemate and he had it under his name for some apparent reason and the girl didn't even transfer the title back to her name and he got a letter saying that it was found abandoned and was going up for auction unless he pays the tow bill -

DIY EA81 Tranny Mounts
bajavwnsoobnut replied to GeneralDisorder's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the discount is through my work cause we are a major account with them considering they also carry some of our product too -
well the Loyale when it was changed is when the legacy came out and the Loyale was the "bread and butter" car cause they still sold them cause of them being the cheapest thing around that wasn't a justy and the loyale name lasted to 1994 when the impreza took over and that is why right now if you want to get a cheap suby you get a 2.5TS cause they are the cheapest thing around for subies unless you pack on the options like alloys and such

DIY EA81 Tranny Mounts
bajavwnsoobnut replied to GeneralDisorder's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
hmmm I wonder where I can get the 2 part urethane around here and I might just build some jigs just so that I can make tranny and motor mounts for both the 76 and 83 especialy with what I have planned for the 76 -
I have seen a couple Loyaled with the "Sport" badging and also some legs too so there might be a couple different things in there but might try finding another loyale to park next to and compare with and Slippery rock hmm is that also a place for a good track also?

ANOTHER Stage 1 question
bajavwnsoobnut replied to bajavwnsoobnut's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
well that partialy answers my question cause I know the front superbeetle gasket will fit the windshield butr which VW is it for the rear window gasket? and now I just need to find the door seals, scrapers for the door windows and also the felt, the gaskets for the rear quarter windows, rear hatch seal, and the other various lil soft rubber gaskets that I can't think of right now. and then need to find a decent rear 4wd bumper, the fuel door (the ones I have been given by various individuals over the last 2 years are the incorrect sizes), the front 4wd badge, and the subaru badge for the hood -

hey Paul isn't NZ RHD? not LHD? so wouldn't it be wierd to have a RHD dash in your LHD wagon? unless you are planin to make it RHD -
Some of you guys know that I have asked this before but it would be nice to have a full defanate answer this time considering there are 2 of us now wondering this lil tid bit of info....... Where can we find all the rubber gaskets (not just the windshield!!!!) for our 75-76 4wd wagons? Hopefuly I can get a answer cause after WCSS the 76 is going down for it's rebuild IF I can get and defanate answer for that question.
