That would not have ANYTHING to do with how you treated the thing in our makeshift mudpit at the show would it? That's terrible man, sorry to hear.

Reno Meet - Car Work
I know this is short notice, but TheSubaruJunkie is gonna come up this Wednesday towing his lifted wagon to my place where we are gonna swap engines around between 3 cars and swap over a lift and some other things, so if anyone else wants to get in on some wrenchin or just to get together, post here. Anyone who is interested, I can get my number and directions to where we'll be at. We'll probably meet later in the afternoon, as we have to drive out to Silver Springs and get a Brat towed back to my place as well so that'll take a bit.

Suspension Swap - Gen 2 to Gen 1 (Brats)
So my hubs are stripped on my 81 Brat and I'm having a very hard time finding info on what the spline count on them is and which other hubs I could use on it, so I though I'd change the suspension out from a Gen 2 Brat or Wagon instead. I remember someone telling me (Caboobaroo I believe) that it ould be done, I don't remember what is involved. So here goes: What do I need to take from a gen 2 wagon or Brat to swap suspension into a Gen 1 Brat? Thanks.

Six lug questions.(urgent)
Here are some pics of a set of hubs I've had redrilled to 6 lug. Top: Bottom: And a closer view of the new studs: I've found that you should pound out the 2 opposing studs yourself before taking it in to a shop. Then, take a rim with you into the shop, and bring 2 lugnuts with you. Have them mount the rim to the hub and drill them. That's what I did with mine at the machine shop here. There was no welding involved. Hope this helps! They shouldn't charge you too much to do them either, the very first set of 4 hubs I took in cost me 180$, then I took a pair of rear disc hubs in to get drilled and he charged me 65$, so if they want something outrageous, let me know and we might be able to work something out. (By the way, I am going to have a set of rear drum brakes drilled out to 6 lug for sale here pretty quick if you want them.)

"1amBrat" as everyone can see.
One of these years I'll try to get as many as I can up to the show. Probably be around 7 or so if I can line up drivers for them all. They all need a little somethin to get them running, but most aren't doing too bad.

well let's see, if it's a 78, and it has the original green paint, it MIGHT look something like this one?: Am I close? Look at my signature, it might help to have a few paint examples lying around.

Tube Doors
Thanks for enjoying them. I know about the pants I planned it that way. It's more fun with white pants cause you could tell that we were out and having fun. That and I didn't want to take the time to change.

'82 Brat with the 3rd Eye (Cyclops) ... Rare?
I've seen 3 or 4 in the yards around here, so they're not too rare down this way, and I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase a car JUST for the third eye, but if you feel inclined, I can't say anything.

Heading back to MN tomorrow

Weberizing my '85 GL
225 for the fron and around 300 for the rear. He has a plain rear tube bumper for 225, I just wanted to have a tire swing out thing so it's gonna take a little more time to build.

Weberizing my '85 GL
That should be enough to get you a decent rebuilt weber. Check the marketplace, you might be able to find a couple for sale. It depends on what kind of intake you have on your car, there's only a few different types. I couldn't get my weber on for the show cause I waited until the last minute to put it on and found that I had that crappy Carter/Weber one barrel on it and didn't have time to swap the whole intake. You should be all right though.

SJR Liftkit?
There's 2 6" block extensions for the shock mounts, I didn't get underneath the rear to look closer at the blocks, But there might be pics around here somewhere, I'll see if I can find them. He did mention that something needed to be cut underneath the rear passenger side door, I didn't ever ask what it was. EDIT: PICS! Thanks for the pics Subieman! I never got pics of the strut extensions, or the front blocks, maybe someone else did?

SJR Liftkit?
That kit that he had looks VERY good. I chatted with him about it for quite a while, and it looked quite rugged. What's very cool he told me is that he can put custom logos on any kit he makes, so each one would be different from anyone elses. His ideas on the strut extensions are amazing as well, they're one of a kind and are completely different from anything I've ever seen. Its quite a kit, I'd recommend it.

Thank you back.

Who'd We See?
Coming back from WCSS7 about 6 or 7 miles south of Eugene on 58 we passed a powder blue lifted hatch. We waved and I believe he waved back. that was the first time I'd seen another lifted soob just driving around. I don't believe he was at the show. Anyone know who it was?

Tube Doors
Most who were at the show probably saw my Brat with the tube doors, but those who weren't here ya go: They use the stock door mounts as well as the stock door latch. I really enjoy them, they come in handy when I'm offroading. They're A LOT lighter than the stock doors as well, so thats good as well. What are your opinions on tube doors? They DO make driving on the highway a little noiser than with conventional doors, but they help a bunch with creating wind and making me cooler in the heat. And YES I did travel all the way from Reno to the show with these puppies on! I didn't get pics up sooner as I wanted it to be a surprise for everyone at the show. I'll get more pics up soon.

Here's my pics from the show. They're not the greatest quality cause I took them with the camcorder, but they work. http://usmb.net/gallery/Jays-pics Here's a my fave: This is what happens when you take an ej22 converted wago through a mudpuddle at 30 MPH! just popped the bead off the rim. Great stuff.
