  1. So only 2 of you guys showed up? I thought that this was a big thing going on. I'm getting my Brat back tomorrow and will be working on it from now till WCSS, so maybe next time you guys plan a trip out to Moab, I'll be there! I'm glad you guys had fun though.
  2. Sorry to hear about your situation, but I'm glad you're all right. Like the above posters said, Brats are replaceable, and lives are not. Get well soon. BTW - Whats up with all the Brats getting crunched? first Laura's and now this one. What a shame.
  3. I liked the look of the mugs from last year, so I'd like that. I'd also like to see the sandblast etched. Either way, mark me down for 1 with my name on it.
  4. yeah it's definitely the axle that is making the ginding sound, but it's being caused by the hubs I believe.
  5. looking at building something like this? The wheels on the Subaru wheels page, don't apply to the Justy's as they have a different bolt pattern. I'm not sure what the pattern is, I'll try to look for it here and will edit this post later. As for building it up, I say go for It!! I think that the Justy's are under represented around here, so seeing another one around is awesome. As for what size tires you can fit on there, I'm not sure. You could use the search function for more info on them. Hope this helps.
  6. I'm about to start doing some work on my 81 Brat, and I have a question on the hub interchangeability of them. Somewhere along the line. either a different axle or different hub got swapped into it and it grinds HORRIBLY in 2WD, but runs all right in 4WD. I'm sure there's a different size axle in there, but what about the hubs? I'm gonna head to the junkyard today and pull a set of hubs to be sure, but what year car should I be looking for? Any year wagon? Or a gen 1 Brat or wagon? Thanks.
  7. I registered and checked my email and I wanted to say I'm still in! I wasn't sure if I needed to respond to your email so I didn't. Consider this my response if so. Thanks.
  8. I have a question. I'm gonna need to replace the hubs on my 81 Brat soon, and I want to know If I can swap out hubs from any Gen 1 wagon or hatch or anything. Are they different from the 81 Brats? I had them replaced somewhere along the line when I had some work done to it and it seems that the castle nut doesn't want to seat because maybe they're a different size hub or castle nut or cone washer or something. Any help?
  9. Sounds good. I wasn't sure if you still had the hatch or not. I want to see the OBS in the mud!!
  10. John, I'll call you on Monday.
  11. hey Zap, do you still have your lifted hatch? Gonna bring it to the show? If not, what are you runnin in the pit? just wonderin.
  12. YAY! Good deal! Let us know about this BBQ thing, I want to see the Car! Git-R-Done!!
  13. Sign me up for a copy! BTW - I am also working on a video as well. Right now, it's up to about 29 minutes put to music.
  14. Yeah, an 85-89 Toyota. I have a set I was going to put on my Brat, but after getting the tires on and looking at the flares, it's kinda hard to mount them with how much space I have.
  15. You shouldn't have any problems unless the axles are rusted on there. Just get under the car and have a look around, you'll figure it out.
  16. Oh DANG! That's awesome. Great stuff.
  17. I like the scoop. It's good to be different, I say do it your way and live with it. Like you said you're building this car for yourself, and if that scoop is what you had in mind, go for it. YOU have to live with it. you don't want to be riding around with other people's ideas attached to your hood do you?
  18. Yeah nice lookin place. That sucks about the eye, hope you're getting better, don't let it get in the way of anything.
  19. that's great! Nice fun lookin place to wheel!
  20. test resuls are in: Lookin good! Good stuff there,. keep it comin.
  21. Oops, I stand corrected! Thanks for the info! That'd be sweet!! Do you have a pic of an after car? Thanks.
  22. That's gonna be a create as you go kinda thing. there's no know actual lift kit for that year soob, so its all up to you. Have fun and let us know how it goes!
