  1. That's great! Lookin REAL good, Thanks a bunch for the pics. Want to do a brat after yours is done?
  2. Glad you made it back all right! When I didn't hear ya, I figured you made it back all right or got stuck somewhere farther than I could get to you! Glad to hear you're back.
  3. Hrm, maybe I have to try it. Project PimpBrat is born!
  4. No it doesn't, jack the rear of the car off the ground and spin one of the tires. If the opposite side tire spins in the SAME direction, its an LSD. If they spin in the opposite direction its an open diff.
  5. After pulling an RX Body kit for a member, I held it up to my Brat to see what it would look like. It looked nice other than the colors being wrong, and I was wondering if anyone has done this and has any pics of it. Might be fun to try.
  6. I'm looking at getting new shocks for my lifted brat, and was looking around at either the KYB's or the Gabriels. What do you guys feel is the better product for some offroad abuse? Is there another choice? Thanks for the help.
  7. This is no ea82 and doesn't look THAT great (the paint's 24 years old) but I hope it helps:
  8. I think a show in Northern California would be way cool and fun, But most of the people on the board seem to be from Oregon and Washington. How many members would SERIOUSLY drive from there down this way, it seems like there's only 4 or 5 of us driving all the way up to Shelton, but how many would have to drive all the way down this way, 25-30? More? It doesn't seem reasonable. I'm not sayin it can't be done, it would just be hard.
  9. Thats a whole nother monster there. The wiring on that one is fun. Its been done, check out Garner, who swapped in an ea82 Turbo into a gen 1 brat. He said the wiring was a nightmare. It would work though if you had the time, knowledge and patience. Not too many people can say they've upgraded an ea81 like this though.
  10. Anything new and exciting going on for the show?
  11. Jibs replied to DeathHatch's topic in Off Road
That's awesome! Whats next? Whats next? i wanna see!
  12. I was thinkin of maybe having the subaru logo within the boundary of the states as well? Behind the lettering for the show? i'm no good with photoshop or any of those programs, so I'm not much help there, but its just a suggestion.
  13. I was thinking the same thing! What AREN'T we doing with these things up there and around here? Glad to have ya, its always nice to see new people with older cars! I can't offer much advice on your troubles, other than to listen to what the above posters' commented on the re-seals and stuff, just wanted to drop by and greet the new guy! Anyway, search through this site and you will see exactly what we are doing to these cars. have fun!
  14. the middle console where the e-brake is
  15. Cool, you don't happen to know where I could find pics of the differences in that area would you? I want to compare because i want to do the 5 speed D/R swap, but I already have my console set how I want it with my driving lights switch mounted in the console. Thanks.
  16. I have a question that i thought of today. If I convert my Brat to a D/R 5 speed, will I need to convert the consoles as well? Thanks.
  17. Yeah sure. thanks!
  18. Are gen 1 and Gen 2 seatbelt designs the same or are they different at all? i have a seatbelt set from an 81 Brat that I want to transfer into my 82, and was wondering about the difference in years. Thanks.
  19. I believe the soob it's going into is an 86 carbed JDM ea81 hatch.
  20. Thats sweet man! I'm glad (or maybe not) to hear how you've done! It better be worth it! I think that wiring the thing could get fun, but at least you won't have to tear another fender apart to do it. I've looked at my car after that day at the yard and though to myself how nice it is to drive an older car that doesn't have wires everywhere and that everything is in plain view. Jeremy - did you get that part about the cheap hatchbacks? Anyway, sorry for my rant, I'm glad you're doin well, and have fun. Keep us updated!
  21. I'm in Reno, so a drop by this area would be cool.
