  1. All right guys, thanks for the info. I think I might try it sometime. I may have found a cheap gen 1 that's gonna need some work, so this might actually happen. I'll keep everyone updated.
  2. I signed up and paid. I'm good to go! See everyone there!
  3. ehhhh, I think I liked it when it was a little more stock. Its not as bad as someone made it out to be though. It IS kinda a shame though.
  4. Yeah count me in too! I can;t wait to see this thing in person either. Good luck with the house.
  5. Check with your local machine shops. When I had mine done, they asked for a sample rim as well, so they couls match them up. Just say that you want to convert to a 6 lug setup and take that sheet of SubaruBrat's in with you. Just explain what you want and it should turn out pretty well. If they try to charge you an insane amount (I was quoted 770$ the first time I went into a machine shop here in Reno) Tell them to forget it. Also try to contact Archemitis, he's doing 6 lug conversions for people. search in the marketplace for 6 lug conversion and you should get it.
  6. That's great! Lookin REAL good, Thanks a bunch for the pics. Want to do a brat after yours is done?
  7. Glad you made it back all right! When I didn't hear ya, I figured you made it back all right or got stuck somewhere farther than I could get to you! Glad to hear you're back.
  8. Hrm, maybe I have to try it. Project PimpBrat is born!
  9. No it doesn't, jack the rear of the car off the ground and spin one of the tires. If the opposite side tire spins in the SAME direction, its an LSD. If they spin in the opposite direction its an open diff.
  10. After pulling an RX Body kit for a member, I held it up to my Brat to see what it would look like. It looked nice other than the colors being wrong, and I was wondering if anyone has done this and has any pics of it. Might be fun to try.
  11. I'm looking at getting new shocks for my lifted brat, and was looking around at either the KYB's or the Gabriels. What do you guys feel is the better product for some offroad abuse? Is there another choice? Thanks for the help.
  12. This is no ea82 and doesn't look THAT great (the paint's 24 years old) but I hope it helps:
  13. I think a show in Northern California would be way cool and fun, But most of the people on the board seem to be from Oregon and Washington. How many members would SERIOUSLY drive from there down this way, it seems like there's only 4 or 5 of us driving all the way up to Shelton, but how many would have to drive all the way down this way, 25-30? More? It doesn't seem reasonable. I'm not sayin it can't be done, it would just be hard.
  14. Thats a whole nother monster there. The wiring on that one is fun. Its been done, check out Garner, who swapped in an ea82 Turbo into a gen 1 brat. He said the wiring was a nightmare. It would work though if you had the time, knowledge and patience. Not too many people can say they've upgraded an ea81 like this though.
  15. That's awesome! Whats next? Whats next? i wanna see!
  16. I was thinkin of maybe having the subaru logo within the boundary of the states as well? Behind the lettering for the show? i'm no good with photoshop or any of those programs, so I'm not much help there, but its just a suggestion.
  17. I was thinking the same thing! What AREN'T we doing with these things up there and around here? Glad to have ya, its always nice to see new people with older cars! I can't offer much advice on your troubles, other than to listen to what the above posters' commented on the re-seals and stuff, just wanted to drop by and greet the new guy! Anyway, search through this site and you will see exactly what we are doing to these cars. have fun!
  18. Cool, you don't happen to know where I could find pics of the differences in that area would you? I want to compare because i want to do the 5 speed D/R swap, but I already have my console set how I want it with my driving lights switch mounted in the console. Thanks.
  19. I have a question that i thought of today. If I convert my Brat to a D/R 5 speed, will I need to convert the consoles as well? Thanks.
