Summit has quite a few from about 119 up to about 320. Heres a link: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=esearch.asp&N=110&Ntk=KeywordSearch&Ntt=fuel+cell As for weight issues, I was going to install one in my Brat, so wouldn't I WANT more weight in the rear? I DO agree with it being out of the way, so maybe I could conceal it with something or something.
  2. Hey - The Home depot Parking lot on I-80 and McCarran is in Icefield!! Thought I'd post it. Looked like a ton of fun to slide around in! Seems like its all melting away today though. Might have to wait for the next storm.

I might want to install a fuel cell in my brat, but have a couple of questions first. Does a fuel cell mounted in a brat HAVE to be mounted near the front of the bed? Can it be placed nearer to the tailgate and have the same affect? Does a fuel cell act IN ACCORDING WITH or INSTEAD OF my original gas tank? Thanks a bunch guys.
  4. Sounds good. I believe you need a MINIMUM of 6" to get a transfer case underneath a brat, and 8" is even better. Other than that you're gonna have a sweet lookin brat. Congratulations.
  5. You'll get lots of stares and glances drivin the brat in the snow and hills. Remember to take pics next time! Sounds like fun.
  6. Thats why I got out of there when I did Jeremy! I knew it was supposed to dump and it looks like I got out just in time! There's still some snow up here, I made fresh donut tracks today up at Los Altos on my lunch break today! Freaked out my co-worker too, he had never been out driving like that. Anyway, I don't know WHAT my schedule is gonna be so just let me know a few days in advance and I'll be there. BTW Jeremy: How was skiing? Lotsa snow!!
  7. Dang Dave, shoulda told me I wanted to see those vids. Oh well, I DID get some doughnuts in though out here in Cold springs tonight in a big empty lot off the freeway. got some honks too! I heard there's more snow tomorrow as well.
  8. I heard those Subaru Brats are no good. Maybe you should pass and let me get it. Just playin, have fun, I love brats. check the Cv boots too, it costs a bit to have them replaced. other than that and the rust you should be good.
  9. Brian - do you guys wanna come all the way up here to drive around? I was thinkin of somewhere around the Boca/Strampede area? A little closer for you guys, and there's usually some good snow back in there. If you guys wanna come all the way up though, thats cool, jeremy and I could show you guys some cool mud areas out here.
  10. I'm way In!! Sounds good. Now if I can only fake an injury or somethin to get out of work, we'll be in business. Jeremy - you may borrow one of my brats, but what ever is wrong with yours?
  11. For my 4" lifted Brat, After making 2 trips to the local napa autoparts place for getting the wrong parts, we finally came up with an idea. We took the REAR brake lines from my 81 parts car brat and matched it to fit perfectly for the fronts. they end up being a little long even at 4", but they work.
  12. They're people out there who know their subaru stuff, but fon't seem to be here. I was the Reno PnP on thursday afternoon at about 2 and a "new" subaru had just came in. This subaru had a set of the early 80's spoke mags or shadow mags, and I wanted them badly. I couldn't get to them cause they were still on the sidewalk wedgen in between 2 other cars. The guy with the CAT took his time tryin to get these cars into the lines and so I took off, planning to come back the following morning. Well, when I got back at about 10 the next morning, they were gone, just plain gone, the whole set. 5 hours in 2 days and someone had taken the whole set. I was soooooo mad. But someone had known about these rims and had got them.
  13. As long as you had fun, that's what it's all about!! Don't worry about your stock subie, I've had plenty of fun stompin around some gnarly stuff in my stock brats. I like to try to see what a stock brat'll do in some cases, its a learning process.
  14. Are the CV's all right? Common Problem in earlier model subaru's. 1500 doesn't sound TOO bad, I'd pay it if was clean. Other than that, welcome to the board, and let's see some pics!!
  15. I've seen people mount them on the passenger side console area, near the shifter and stuff, I think it'll end up getting in the way if you have passengers and stuff, but you could mount it really anywhere, I'd suggest back by the wheel wells.
  16. Check the CV's too as they are pricey to have replaced. I'd try to talk the guy into a little lower if you could, but otherwise it isn't too bad of a price.
  17. I'd probably be interested as well
  18. About a mile out behind our houses in Cold Springs. Takes about 10 minutes to get there. Sorry for not invitin you, I didn't think you'd want to destroy your wagon. But if you REALLY want to, we can go out there some time.
  19. This one above was the crazy trail. This is the trail in the first post that is just water. It was quite a bit higher the first time through. All right Folks took the brat out again and got some good action shots (Sorry subieman, my camera might be too wet to get pics) Ok First and another lots and lots o fun. Thanks for helping me be in the mindset to take my soob out like this!
  20. I had the same problem with my lift. I can't shift into reverse. I haven't tried 4th, but I am thinking worst case there as well. I took my console out before the lift and so it's not that.
  21. All right will do. It wouldn't hurt, that car was sitting for a while before we towed it over, so it could have some yucky stuff in it. I'll check around.
  22. I just bought a weber, and someone brought up this up to me that the stock fuel pump might not be able to get enough fuel through the weber? Does this happen or am I all right? Thanks.
  23. It's called a third eye. I don't know what years they came on wagons and stuff, but Brats came on them stock on the GL modes of the year 1982. You DO occaisonally see them in the junkyards, I've seen 3 in the same one a while back.
  24. Fun stuff, got water all over interior of car though, but it was worth it. and another pic of a different stretch and this is the deepest one here, we didn't get a pic, the digi camera's battery went dead. but this is it. I DID make it through though here's a damage report Fun stuff. I'll get back out there tommorrow hopefully and get a pic of me actually IN this thing. Here's one more.
