  2. I meant to put this up a while back. Thought I would share Half green and half white led https://www.flickr.com/gp/143699084@N07/r191Ut Green Led full edit link: https://www.flickr.com/gp/143699084@N07/X7NqCD The pictures do not do it justice. The Green was a little overwhelming till I got used it. Hopefull the links will work. Shout out to Loyale 2.7 Turbo!!!
  3. Yep, do as Dave T said. These cars are so easy to work on, and there is ton of info here. Let the wife know you may spend some time repairing it, and $60-$100 for timing belt/pulley kit(Ebay). Just not having a car payment and not paying a crap load for registration is golden for me. You cannot hurt these cars unless you abuse them..... maintenance is key, and they go everywhere!
  4. Not EA81... Does have Mad Max feel https://youtu.be/ng5xFzjf_JM
  5. Well, I would assume that the clutch worked, previously before the swap correct? Might want give it look.
  6. I really liked the customer service at OBT. You will have shipping cost involved and some lead time. If not in a hurry its worth the wait.
  7. 8. I was worried that R134a it would not cool as well. The R12 was amazin! Always had drive with my window cracked and on low/med... Brrrrr. The R134a does cool but not as quick, but does get damn cold. For example R12 would take a block or two to cool, R134 would take 2-3 blocks before you could roll the windows up. I dont know what it is at the A/C system in these cars but it rocks. Kids loved riding in my in summer..well when worked.
  9. Jesek, I dont think that I have never seen that write up. Wow, great detail. After work I looked through your post and started at the engine compartment relay's on the passenger side. Duh! Pulled the fuse and it was blown, replaced and compresor turns on now. Just need to figuire out why its blowing hot still. I finally found my shop manual. Going through it to determine what could be wrong.
  10. The R12 compressor was was working like a charm for a couple years after I bought the car. Then the compressor went bad. Had a shop work on it, and was converted 134A. Worked great for the first year... Then, crap! Same thing happened again to the new one. Oh, and the shop went out business :-/ Then I got the current compressor. Which works only when using jumper wire to engage. Thanks for responding
  11. You know when you get that feeling that maybe you shpuld stop... Doing what your doing. Yeah, I'm there. The low/high pressure lines are really hot. Well, I wanted to give a shot on my own for once. Think I just taking it in to a shop. Ill let you know what was wrong. Thanks Crazyeights for responding, I appreciate it.
  12. Yeah... I went ahead and added more. I stopped at. 90psi on the low side. No change. Compressor does not kick on. No bubbles in sight glass... Can swirling movement now. After letting system rest... And jumping the compressor. I do get a breif cool puff, then its goes hot again Static: Low: 90 High:90 Idle:16 High:130 2000 rpm: Low:0 High:140
  13. Well first off, this is not my realm. Here we go.... I vacuumed system before recharging. Guages hooked to high and low after filling empty system with about 1/2-3/4 20oz can. Compressor will not kick, on. So jumped it... Turns on and can see bubbles in sight glass. Gauges at idle: Low: 52 High:50 Gauges When compressor engaged: Low:10 High:100 Rev to 2000rpm: Low: goes negative High:100 I read that low idle should be around 80 and 100 is too high, but when rev'd should drop to 40... Keep charging?? just need a little advise. Thank you
  14. Just installed my Pugs!!! It does look sweet ???? No lift yet :-/ Went with 185/65/15 tires. Time to get on the D/R install Edit:spelling error
