  1. i sent you a private message with my phone # , i am in western ,ohio , right along I-75 , 100 miles south of toledo ,ohio, [ ANNA,OHIO] give me a call if you are going this way and stop on by , july 30th and aug 1st i will be gone
  2. no coolant leak etc.. , seems the other iac was bad , but still back to the same problem as before i started
  3. make sure the parts store is looking up for the right size motor , there should be adjustment left after you put the new belt on
  4. this i what i did , the problem may have been is i used another one ,that looked good and cleaned it good , put it on and no go , sooooo i cleaned the old one and put it back on , still idles like before , but aleast i can drive it :-\the other iac was from a same year car ? either it is bad or something else
  5. cleaned the IAC and now car will not stay running ? it is a 88 spfi 5sp d/r wagon,all vacuum lines hooked up ,all wires pluged in , it runs good as long as you hold the gas pedal down

  7. if you remember it will take either 1-3 ozs , i tried 3oz then 1 oz no major improvement ,but i think it is pretty good enjector cleaner
  8. looked at it very quickly tonight, heard a ticking around the acell coil, all wires good ,ngk plugs, new cap, rotor, ??
  9. a question here, i removered the big fat cat on my 88 turbo wagon , but i still have the o-2 sensor in place ,really no difference in power , should i unplug the 0-2 sensor ? or leave it pluged in ?
  10. after the cars sits over night it starts right up and idles fine, drive it 5-6 miles shut it off for 2-3 minutes ,start it back up it will idle way down and some time even stall , but does not do this all the time , recent tune up, cap,rotor, wires,plugs, fuel filter , acell coil still good, no codes flashing , car has 189,000mi , mpg is 25-26 with ac on, any suggestions ? thanks
  11. my 88 5sp might get that if i do not run the ac ,w/189,000mi on it , yours is doing really good i think ,
  12. i also have 88 turbo awd a/t turbo wagon, it will start to over heat if your running 80-85 mph with the ac on. but 65 -68 runs normal ,and i have a 2 row , but i live where it is very flat , my problem is the fins on the outside may not let enough air into the radiator
  13. i can say i have the most in my area, 2- 84 brat, 1-88 dual range wagon, 1- 88 turbo awd wagon ,+ alot of parts in my garage
  14. i run amsoil oil ,and i like it, i do not have to change the oil but every 12,000mi i,and change the filter every 6,000 mi ,
  15. the weber was not hooked up at all, and the vacuum lines were crossed , oil was going into the weber, , but it was running fine , i decided to change coils and go with a acell coil and this is how it all started

  17. set top dead center, set timming to .8 , major back firing , surging , so i bumped up timming to .12 , alittle less backing firing , if i really get on the gas is when it back fires , what should i look at next ?

  19. when setting timming marks, which marks do you set the pointer at ? , i cranked the motor by hand , and turned it to A and left it there , i do not mean when turning the dist that is .8 , what mark is top dead center ?this is on a 84 brat with a weber ,thanks
