  1. Thats the answer I've been looking for. I knew it had to be some kind of later model wheel, just wasn't sure. Thanks for your post.
  2. Are those wheels on it hard to find? You could make it "Rust in the Wind 2"
  3. That DL-STD sedan is so nice. Slant console, manual choke... Do a 1800cc swap and it will be a real hotrod.

I now have a backlit hvac.
  5. Finally got around to doing the hvac backlights today. Gotta say it was super easy... anyone who needs to replace theirs, its no sweat. Now I gotta do all the little backlights in the cluster. :/ I'll leave that for another day. lol I just remembered another weird thing going on. See how the 4wd light is on? Its in fwd. The light never shuts off... When I put it in 4wd hi, the light stays on, and in 4wd low the "low" light comes on. Im just really perplexed as to why the 4wd light is always on. Still haven't gotten the door chime to work, I'll figure that out sometime soon as well. :-p
  6. I'm pretty sure that the grill will just bolt up... the size of the grill stayed the same between the quad and 2 headlight designs. bheinen74 has put a 3rd eye on his post-'82 Brat, you should contact him. I'm also planning on doing this mod, just waiting on a 3rd eye grill. :-p
  7. Do what this guy does. It helps that the guy hes talking to is a complete idiot.
  8. Saw this in person at the tree run up past enumclaw.
  9. Meeky, you have had quite the collection.
  10. Heres some more shots of STD's just for reference sake. :-p And here is the GL and DL comparison for dashes in a '82 Brat ad.
  11. This is an "STD" hatchback. The STD's all had that grill, they were made in the early ea81 era also. The dash is the DL trim level for ea81s. All ea81 (stock) DL dashes look this way.
  12. I'm pretty sure its all of washington that has the 25-year-old-car-exempt rule. A quick google search of pierce county emissions rules will confirm that.
  13. The axles that I have now on my Brat are different than the ones that were originally on there. At first I was hesitant because they appeared to be different, but took measurements of all the dimensions and they were the same. Car is going down the road like a dream.
  14. Those steelies look pretty cool on there!
  15. Santa Claus is coming to town...
  16. Merry Christmas. (about two hours early here at the west coast) Hope everyone has a great Christmas Day, I'll be with the family eating myself to death.
  17. Another option is the pre-facelift '85 and '86 ea82 bumper. Personally I think these bumpers look better, and have the turn signals in the bumper flush and easily visible.
