Timin' Belt Covers.
6 Star replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Awesome! I subscribed to your channel. The EA82 in the BumbleBeast still sounds very healthy. -
Good thing the headlight covers were in place. Where do you source those? Are they wrap-around to also cover the corner lights? Would like to have some for my wagon as well, although the USDM corner lights do not have the protruding reflector... Like the look of that last example wagon picture. Aggressive tires and appears to be lifted some. Hard to tell where that is but it looks to be a LHD, Face-lifted example.

'87 Hatchback (Not Justy) Wrong Fuel Door?
6 Star replied to SirFireWolfe's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
@SirFireWolfeIf the vehicle had been in an accident when it was fairly new it is possible that a body shop took the time to repair it as close to stock as they could with what they had available. I bought a low mileage FWD Loyale Sedan that back QP and Front End body work done... pretty impressive what they did, not even mad as I knew it ahead of time before buying it just by the slight difference in panel colors. I know that today there is no way the same amount of effort would be put into the car so it must have happened when the car was fairly new. Anyway enough thats enough of that Subie story... I hope to see your Hatch when you are able to be near it and investigate it for clues -
'87 Hatchback (Not Justy) Wrong Fuel Door?
6 Star replied to SirFireWolfe's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
@SirFireWolfePictures would be great if you could post them... maybe someone used what was available to them? -
What @el_freddosaid... The search here used to work but for whatever reason now it sucks. Doesn't really pull up any relevant threads just recent ones Best of luck

This. My GL Wagon EA82 would sound like a rattling tin can under load with "regular" fuel. With Premium Fuel the pinging pre-detonation went away. If it still persists with Premium Fuel then have a friend Rev the engine with your head under the car to determine where the exhaust leak or rattle is coming from.

Nothing like someone else taking interest in what is yours to light the fire again. Should be as simple as massaging the brake calipers, bleeding, and going through the fuel. Now get-to-it!

Nvm... saw your other thread. Best of luck with your new toy!

Welcome. You have two cool cars... why not make it three? We are biased here, but I'd say you couldn't go wrong with the DL wagon, unless they want your arm and leg in exchange. It will be a nice daily driver for you and sip the gas slower than your EJ engine cars when tuned correctly -
Welcome to the Forum. What year and model is the Subaru? I've had similar humorous electrical gremlins like this on the EA82 body vehicles... "paranormal activity" door locks that rapidly opened and locked on their own... etc. I'm bad with electrical however more info about your specific vehicle might spark other's memory. Best of luck

The reason it feels "slow" could be the giant wheels and tires you are spinning with the stock engine. Try something closer to the stock size and you will see acceleration increase. You said yourself you won't be doing any crazy wheeling... This is the easiest solution I see. Best of luck

Nice collection. I have one Dark Blue one with the Brat Decals and several of the Green one with the Surf Camp Decals

6 Star replied to PrinterTechnician's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
@PrinterTechnician You would be surprised how many EA81 and EA82 Generation cars are still out there, even as daily drivers. If you got enough people together to do a group buy... just sayin, its been done in the past... finding the right Manufacturer and Group to buy in with is the harder part -
Ya know those Plastic Covers keep both the 4 and the 2 Legged Rats out, if only to delay their progress...

Kkeke from Belgium, Europe
6 Star replied to Kkeke's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
@Kkeke Some forum users here use the built in photo sharing that is linked with your "profile". You have to have a certain amount of posts to unlock its function... like 5 or 10... I use that for the commonly reused photos myself; and then the excess I host with Imgur.com, a photo hosting site -

What a collection. Would love to see photos of your Subarus some time if you decide to post them -
I'm glad you were able to sort out the handle issue. Saw your search here and the resulting "no it won't fit" responses. Never been able to compare a 1st and 2nd Gen side by side myself so had no idea... this is good to know Three is a lucky number, and more manageable than seven... this sedan is a survivor and in good hands once more

1971 FF-1 - Back from the dead?
6 Star replied to Subaru_GL's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Heck yeah. Believe I saw your post on the FB forums about the little EA engine fitting on the vw engine stand mount. Keep up the good work and welcome to USMB -
Search for Tailgate Chrome Trim for a 2nd Gen. Brat
6 Star replied to SaltyMike's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The side view mirror you are looking for has a very square shape overall? Those are more common to find, just a matter of searching on different forums where people sell old school subaru parts, CL etc... Tailgate Chrome is definitely hard to find, have seen people get creative when it comes to it's replacement -
@el_freddo I found the pictures sorting through my saved Subie photos... only remember what was said in the thread off-hand... would have to search posts way back from when...
