where do i find a grant wheel adapter for these cars? one ones interchange? im tired fo fighting my steering wheel to get in and out of the car lol i would have put this in my build thread but i figured if its its own thread it will be easier to pool knowledge on the subject i started off by trying a datsun adapter nissan got parts from fuji heavy industries back in the 70s just like subarus so alot of stuff interchanges we all know the rear diffs do i have noticed alot of other similarities such as alternators voltage regulators master cylinders boosters stuff like that so it didnt seem like a far fetched idea that they may use the same steering collum splines well they dont unfortuatly at least i got the extra datsun adapter for free

ea71 with turbo and harley davidson mikuni carb
bonvo replied to dickdirty's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
i see issues with that second set up number one the weber isnt enclosed so turn the boost up to high and you blow all the innards out of it number 2 the weber air filter assemblies are weak flimsy sheet metal again not stong enough to handle the boost -
ea71 with turbo and harley davidson mikuni carb
bonvo replied to dickdirty's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
and how are you retarding the timing under boost? just no vacuum advance? as i look at this it would be easy to fab and in turn an easy way to overcome the horrible head design and improve the power of an ea71 making it easier to drive if i were to do it i would fab the exhaust inlet from the flange at the y pipe run the turbo under the area where the spare tire sits making a bracket to the bell housing for support run the charge pipe to the stock intake and use a datsun z car su carb (46 mm bore) routing the intake tube, carb to take air from infront of the master cyl -

so much want i would love to have any of these 4 cars -
Unless, of course, you're a big person. If that's you, you'd better let people like Jason Torchinsky, Raphael Orlove and I revel in our enjoyment of cars that you'll never fit into comfortably. i take offence and actually got a little angry at this im 6'1" and 330lbs and its quite comfortable to drive getting in and out is another story but its really not bad despite my size people need to learn to stfu as for them all being rusted out mine has a few rust spots but not bad at all i am in the Oregon high desert so its rather dry here and they dont salt the roads in the winter but over all mine has held up will over the years with 184k on the clock

well a few days ago i started to take it apart pressed down on the accel pump and it worked so i made some changes to the rod so i get more squirt out of it and put a much heavier return spring on it now the throttle is heavier but it runs drives and idles again this will get me threw till i get my weber adapter
