Takes me two hrs to teardown and redo reverse clutch pack don't even have to pull the pan can remove whole internals in one large piece and get to the good stuff the nice thing is no fancy tools needed just flat screwdriver and 14 mm do have to back the band add off

I tap them sideways gently all way round this will slightly expand brass lifter bore and should let them release

In 2wd the shaft is non loaded so it turns with diff but not with 4x4 gears so you can hear the shaft rocking on Ujoint when in 4x4 the shaft is loaded by 4x4 gears keeping Ujiont under constant load making noise stop.

Try a flat oil pan from 89-92 ej2.2 will give you more room Also if you use 07 and up water pump hose comes off the front instead of bottom gives you more room to

Yes has two hole in it tap them out with 8.125 tap the you can use a puller on it to remove it with steering wheel puller and two bolts
