  2. yeah when i did the oilpan on my coupe in december, fond memorys of that damn brush were remembered.
  3. i hate removing the old oil pan gasket more than anything, get a chisel (sp?) and go at it.
  4. what about the dealer? Palm Springs Subaru (760) 318-4700 67977 E Palm Canyon Dr Cathedral City, CA
  5. they are "nicer" but.............. 2 things. they were getting too much abuse in my daily & the side bolstering is much firmer on the stock seats
  6. took out one of the bolts that holds of teh bumper cover & replaced with a longer one.. it's in the car, but the stock seats back in..now i just gotta clean up the change tray
  7. I had teh day off and spent some time on all the little projects I had going on for the coupe, since its been like 30+days of rain:rolleyes: . did a little modding to my ceneter console. first.. a black XT e brake handle. waay better than the gl one, more ergonomic. it is a direct bolt in. you will notice though the "cover" of the ebrake does not cover its entire length..didnt want the metal to show, so this was easily solved by using a high rise console:brow: ..no metal showing now..into the front yard paint booth to be converted to black it went. i then took off the top arm rest part of the console. tore off the stock viynl. and recovered it in black velour ill get pics of it all assembled when its daylight out again. other new additions are.. set of 80's NOS bosch lights , fliped the lens', added 3M clear bra, and mounted them in the factory spots w/ factory fog switch. oem wrx 6 cd indash w/ factory sub,
  8. turbo an MPFI heads are the same(minus the turbo lines on the pass. side), spfi/carb are different
  9. yep..... about to get a house across the river in vancouver soon though
  10. what up man..havent seen you on the board lately. still in bend i take it?
  11. the pistons are what makes the CR difference.. .heads are the "same" but, will be different(due to intake manifold) on the turbo compared to the carb/spfi
  12. yeah the coupes seem to be VERY prone to leaks/rust on the outside A pillars at the windsheild, spoiler holes (espicially the center one), and all the little nooks in the rear panelling.
  13. take one ea82 3dr -cut off the rear end right past the door -weld on a wagon rear end BAM!
  14. http://cgi.ebay.de/Subaru-L-1800-Brat-Pickup_W0QQitemZ4606373447QQcategoryZ18277QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem you can past the url here http://babelfish.altavista.com/translate.dyn and it will translate
  15. nice score justin...its a coupe, so you will find rust on it, dont worry:lol:
  16. for a daily driver i would advise agaist thoose generick (sp?) ebay coilovers. you stock rear springs are about 12" long and are 160lb if you RX is a sedan, 180lb if its a coupe
  17. i have done this befre well actually twice cuz i replaced my wirring/dash...the easy way is to find a turbo gl, remove the entire dash with everything still attached, then remove the entire main harness/fuse block (it splits & runs through the driver fender & top of engine bay) by pulling/feeding it into the car, unbolt factory bc selinoid form the pass side of the engine bay. you will also need the crossmember with ps lines, fuel pump, motor (duh) with manifold harness, the downpipe will bolt into your existing exhaust.
  18. people, people:-\ ..the rear is easy part ..you can use standard 2 1/2" or 2 5/8" id coilover springs in the rear.you can order them in different lengths and with a ton of different lb ratings.
