  1. *someone needs to switch to decaf* i vote no, this will be making your brat's entire driveline work twice as hard as it's used to. it would be asking for your trans to melt or seize or a head gasket to blow. probably the HG. good luck with whatever though.
  2. throttle position sensor (again)?
  3. i plan to show up, but i'll be coming from spokane, and it's twice as long to go thru seattle first.. I'm going to go down 395 (i think) and cut under yakima.
  4. you're going to end up paying for those regardless; they can get pretty spendy especially in good shape! good luck though.
  5. so if i run EA82 coilovers on the rear of my brat, it is redundant with the torsion bars. can you remove the torsion bars and run without them? or just set them to do as little as possible?
  6. you could lift it now and put the bigger wheels/tires on after you get there.
  7. this should help http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17434&highlight=wheel+bearing
  8. that's the end of the axle, not the wheel bearing. i don't know that it would hurt anything to grind it down as long as you could get the castle nut off, but it would probably ruin any warrantee on that axle.
  9. bad boxers! (are new VWs even boxered anymore? oh well) let's show them how it's done! http://go.fark.com/cgi/fark/go.pl?IDLink=1052092&location=http://boston.mirror-image.com/newsvideo/softwin/template.html%3fOAS_pos=SPONSOR2%26middle=072104_vws_worcester.wmv
  10. with a "constellation" of subarus, don't you mean? or what was the term decided upon?
  11. it has a coil pack on top of the intake, with no distributor.
  12. i want to know if it'll fit too. i have an xt ps rack and if it'll go into my brat, it will, when i add power steering. good luck gd.
  13. your car will also make a lot more noise going over bumps as the rest of the car absorbs the shock when the shock absorbers don't.
  14. my brat has the bracket for it snapped off of the clutch fork. see if you have a cable hanging around there with nothing to do like me no way am i taking the whole car apart just for that!
  15. maybe we can use oddcomp's air gun to shoot crisco slugs at hondas on the freeway... they'll think it's a flock of birds with upset stomachs
  16. why are you swapping pulleys? i'm not clear on it. are you adding a spider intake or a whole XT engine? you can use the water pump timing marker with either style...
  17. maybe if you got custom wheel bearings or hybrid axles?
  18. http://www.paintscratch.com/thanks to corky from a while ago
  19. still looking for pinout diagrams so i can wire up the wagon's reverse lights and the diff lock please?? 2 posts up... 88 RX transmission into 86 pushbutton 4WD 5speed turbowagon
  20. heh. thanks. i'm mainly concerned about needing any tools i don't already have, anything special needed? I'd also appreciate torque specs on the flywheel and pressure plate... thanks
  21. i'll bring the kicks if you bring the giggles
