  1. POR15's rust prevention stuff is good enough that I'd trust anything they made.
  2. heh. see, i didn't even bother to look at the people in the picture, I just assumed they were all USMB peeps.
  3. how are the fuel sending units different? (they're IN the tank, right? )
  4. you can rotate the FW by ratcheting the crank pulley (clockwise only!) with a 22mm socket, in case it's hung up in there somewhere.
  5. I'm 1/4 norweigan but don't speak any last name is Mikelson, used to be Mikkelsen (i think) before they got off the boat
  6. i would say that any answer which avoids taking the question literally is probably correct!
  7. thanks guys.. so much for THAT idea!
  8. probably belonged to someone who worked at a dealership, easy access to all that stuff.
  9. PM subarutex, he's interested in an XT6 engine.
  10. 25 subaru points to anyone who can name all the oglers in that picture!
  11. it's not the bolt holes on the manifold you need to be concerned with, it's the lineup of the air/fuel and coolant passages.
  12. check all your major ground wires, especially the ones off the battery. try changing your starter. check your fuses under the dash for a burnt fuse, that might tell you what area the problem's in if not the starter. check the fusible links under next to the coolant overflow bottle too. double check the coil wiring, etc too.
  13. Brat's going to need new shocks/struts soon. I might want to put some nicer EA82 struts on it, as I'm aware that the tops will swap between EA81 and EA82. I don't recall hearing if the EA82 struts will fit in the EA81 steering knuckles though? I also need to do wheel bearings soon so I'd like to know if I'll be keeping my EA81 knuckles or rigging some from an EA82 to fit so I can have the better suspension? thanks!!
  14. should have paid $50 for the chrome version instead of the $30 yellow coil my brat's had an 8140 in it for a few months now, no problems. my wagon's had one in for the better part of a year but i rarely drive it..
  15. Mark is the best. he's extremely patient, especially when I still have to mail him his sunvisors.
  16. nah, paint the rims body color and put beauty rims on it, go subtle. nice car!
  17. it sounds dangerous to me. the amount of work it would take to do it right (right = safe to drive on public roads) far outweighs the effort it would take to get a wagon that started as a wagon.
  18. BWAHAHA!! *drives 83 brat thru the thread*
  19. ah, ok. i don't think any subarus with quad headlights came with 3rd eye lights. most people who add 3rd lights to quad setups cut out the grille very carefully and it looks good.
  20. right, but i'm interested in what else he's able to get ahold of. still no reply from him..
  21. you need a center console from an EA81 turbo model; it'll fit right in and you could j-rig the lock. not very big though.
