  3. The top lights are Harbor Freight @ 7.95 a pair 100w you can't beat them. The "Headlights" are Baja 100w @ 9.95 ea http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=31&sort=1&cat=500&page=2 Pretty sure Brian (SubaruJunkie) has these too. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  4. I'm still looking for an adapter that will fit over my stock tray and then adapt a snorkle off that. Any Ideas....? Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--wants a snorkle real bad! 01 Forester--a snorkle would make people wonder...
  5. Exhaust (as we all know) is a bad thing in the cabin. I'd start by looking on the exhaust system start to finish for a leak. You'd sure smell/feel/hear it quick under the car. That's most likely the source and the first thing to fix. After that I'd look at how it got inside the car. Although once you find the source that may tell the answer on how/where it got in. Just stating the stupid...because that's what I know the most about! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

  8. I have noticed on some Subies that the odometer display is off when the car is off and other Subies have the odometer displayed all the time whether the car is on or not? Is there some sort of display option for your led display for the miles? Ya I know it's stupid but...Inquiring minds want to know Glenn 01 Forester--yes the miles are on display all the time! 82 SubaruHummer--miles are also on display?
  9. Bump! Have not heard from Utah folks in a while... Is anyone out there? Shout out if Urine Utah!

  14. I was worried about the same thing when I mounted ATV off-road tires on my "Subie" rims... I took the rims into the ATV dealer and didn't mention they were actually going on a car http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=32&sort=1&size=medium&cat=500&page=2 Don't ask, don't tell... Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--26X12X12 Dirt Devil Atv tires 01 Forester--Factory tires
  15. My 82 didn't have anything like what your describing Tell us more...
  16. I purchased my 01 Forester L in April of 2003 and I paid $11,900 for it. It had 38k on it and was spotless. I looked for a car with the proper amount of miles for the year and at low book. No body work/repaint or high miles. It took a while but I was able to find my forester at low book with nothing wrong with it (miles, body work). I'd think if you held your guns and waited and demanded low book and didn't compromise on miles etc... you'd be able to find something eventually. Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  17. I'm wondering what would be covered here that would not be covered in the Older Generation forum? Seems to me that most of the swapping and retrofitting is for the Old Generation cars anyway? So is the Old generation Soob forum for "Unmodified Old Subies" only? Slightly confused? Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--Which forum am I? 01 Forester--New Gen for now?
  18. How tough is the conversion to a T-case? What drivelines does one use? Is there a write up on the transformation somewhere? Just thinking out loud...nothing planned? Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  19. It means your suppose to STOP! It knows what you did at that last STOP sign, It's all part of a new government plan to monitor your driving! The rest of us don't have one in our cars. It's just your car! Aliens implanted it in your car for the Government. It's all part of a larger conspiracy! We all got the memo on that one??? Maybe we missed you
  20. Looks good! What size tires are you running? How's the gearing for climbs? Train the dog to be your spotter for the trail rides. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  21. Don't all three go to that evaporator tank hidden just above where the lines are mounted? On my Hatch I believe all went into the evaporator/collector tank then back to the actual fuel tank? So two of them went from the fuel tank back to the evaporator tank and one came from the charcoal canister tank under the hood to the evaporator tank. Good Luck, 82 SubaruHummer--now uses those two lines as a tank vent:brow: 01 Forester
  22. Which heater core hose is supply and which is return? Would it matter if you hooked them up backwards Wondering if I hooked mine back up correctly Thanks, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--with heater! 01 Forester--Overheater!
  23. You finally got it! Congrats! We want to see pics... Keep us posted Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  24. Welcome to the board! I put a Subaru Factory security system in my car and it was no big deal. The instructions are detailed and make the job simple. Good luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer, no security system, locks or doors 01 Forester, now with factory security sustem
  25. I have a 92 Camry and a Forester too, I take the Camry on road trips because it is huge inside and get great mileage. The Camry is a BIG car the Forester is a small car. The Forester 2.5 is the more powerful of the two by far! But there is 10 mpg. difference between the two on the road! I just took the Camry 2.2 out on a 600 mile trip this weekend and got 33 mpg. The same trip in the Forester I got 21 mpg. I have not had any real repair issues with the Subaru or Camry. They are just different cars! Kinda depends on what your looking for? Good Luck, Glenn
