  1. I'm an off-roader but I like it. It seems to be the proper flare for the vintage of the vehicle. I think with some paint and some finish work it will look like a slick custom machine! Casting one vote for Keep it! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  2. My vote is now....an 1982 flatbaru. The 82's had the plastic outer bumper and chrome center like this one has. I was looking at a different pic from earlier this morning. :-\
  3. Are we looking at the same picture? What rims? Something fishy is going on here?
  4. I have been battleing mice in my Trooper. They have been eating the fluff thats under the carpet I now have two mouse traps in the thing. That's going to smell good! (In two weeks when I get back to check it). :-p I found out they were climbing up the trailer hitch wires and crawling along the frame and entering through the shift boot area. I hate mice. I have plans for a great resetting mouse trap if anyone's interested Glenn 88 Trooper mouseless 90 Trooper mousehouse
  5. I'm jealous Wonder if he'd trade strait across Truithfully, I'm thinkin a guy'd be better off starting with a $50 Subaru and building from scratch, rather than trying to reserect that thing. A buggy is not hard to build. I built my frame in a couple weeks work. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21/cap_091803_104739_33_1 (click forward if you can't see it.) Build it, my .02 Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  6. I have always wanted one of those I have been tempted to get a "thing" and paint it camo to try and make one. I want one! I want one! I want one! I'll never get one Glenn Kooblecar---Dreaming 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  7. I forwarded it to you again. If that doesn't work I can try something different. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  8. Talking on cell phones is distracting....
  9. I'm disagreeing It's not a EA Subaru. Look at the doors and notice the window frames? The early 80's Subarus in the image gallery don't have window frames? Look at the hood and notice the lack of a center ridge/bump at the center front. There are no side ridges on the hood either? http://usmb.net/gallery/album74/1981_a http://usmb.net/gallery/album77/1984_a I feel better knowing it's not a Subie My .02 Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  10. James, Check your email Let me know if it didn't work. Good luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer---wired! 01 Forester---have the diagrams...
  11. Are you trying to hide something from us? Inquiring minds want to know
  12. I tried doing a search like that but because of how the folks entered the info it didn't search as well as you'd think. The search is a great place to start...
  13. Someone emailed me one and it was most helpful. Let me see if I can find it and I'll email it to you. P.M. me your Email address Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  14. Leak? You call that a leak? That doesn't look like a leak to me! How may Quarts of oil do you add per week? That looks like an extremely slow dribble to me. I recycle my oil from the pan on the floor of my garage Glenn 82 SubaruHummer---AKA leakmobile! 01 Forester---better not be leaking
  15. I believe there are a handfull of members in your general area. If they don't answer, look page by painful page:banghead: in the members section. I think you'll find more than you expected. Good luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  16. Where's Shawn? I hooked up with Shawn on Saturday. The Blue Brat made the trip with no real problems. So once in SLC....what did we do....? Went Junkyarding of course! .....Till the phone rang and we were forced to go back to the better halves... Shawn found the "holy grail".... ....a round clear dome light off an old DL. He was stoked. As I understand it Shawn went camping on Antelope Island in the middle of the Great Salt Lake. I tried to convince him to join us in the mountains just out side of Heber city and see the fall colors. Give us a shout on the board, when you get back and let us know you returned home safe. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  17. Shawn, I love to hook up, but I'm going to be out of town most of the weekend. I'll call and see where your at and when I'm leaving. I'll be in Heber City most of the weekend. Talk to you later on... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  18. I had to have some rims made for the buggy, I could look up the specks on the off-set? Let me know Glenn
  19. The Subaru Gods must be angry because you didn't start sooner Now your going to pay....
  20. S Small U Utility V Vehicle? It's a small AWD Wagon! How is it more utility than the Outback? Which is not a utility vehicle? There both small AWD Wagons! Not SUV's
  21. I removed my engine, tranny, crossmember, struts, wheels & tires as a whole unit. It was easy! I put the whole thing in the buggy as a unit too. Just supported the engine and lowered the buggy on the engine / crossmember etc... It doesn't take long... You can have it mostly done in 20 minutes! Good luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  22. I was just reading thread on Foresters taking 1st place in the crash tests, but..... Is the Forester really an SUV????? I have one and I love it dearly but I really don't consider it an SUV. If they gave us a dual range tranny (like Aus) I might be able to think of it as a "Mini SUV" But as is I have a hard time thinking of a Forester as an SUV Thoughts... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer---pure assalt vehicle--- 01 Forester---small AWD wagon---
  23. The rest of the story........... I purchased some spray on undercoating and put the car up on a lift and found out that everywhere but where I was originally looking is undercoated Apparently only the front sections of the Forester are not undercoated from the factory Guess I should have looked a little harder the first time..... I ended up using a can on the front sections that still needed it, but it does not compare with the quality of the factory job! FYI Glenn 82 SubaruHummer---rhinolined 01 Forester---undercoated
  24. Rhinoline the whole car! I considered it for a while before I pitched the body. I think it would be funny! It would look like a stealth car! I have used the spray on stuff for years and like the results. You can control the texture by how you apply it. Do it! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer rhino lined frame 01 Forester, spray on undercoating where it needed it.
