  1. Best looking rack I've seen in a long time:brow: It's inspirational! Nice Work!!! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer---custom rack 01 Forester---factory rack
  2. This sounds like a cry for help! There is help for people like you! Have you tried, http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=12 The Passat is just a snow car! What about real off-roading????? ....Subaru.....
  3. Sounds about right, don't forget to rotate the whole thing and weld the back side too! I still have yet to put my axle back in. Three wheel drive gives you an interesting burnout patten:lol: Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer welded! 01 Forester --- Not!
  4. So what are your Evil plans for this Subie:brow: Twisted minds want to know!
  5. Mike, Welcome to the board. Don't dispare just because your old subie has terminal rust! My old subie did too. I just put a new body on and kept going...if fact it's much happier now:D http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21 Good Luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  6. Welcome to the board! I'd do a basic tune up first and then you'll know where your starting from. It's been my experience that a tune cures most everything! Cap, wires, plugs, filters.... Good luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  7. What years did the ECU start on? I'm not thinking my 82 had much of one? Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester--ECU equipped!
  8. There is One other person in Utah that understands the old Subaru Thing! I purchased my Subie back in 1983 and had it ever since! Great car! Still is, it just looks different now... I purchased a new (used) one based off how good my old one was/is. I also have a Camry and it too has been a good car but in the last 6 months it's beginning to show it's age. See my thread in the off the topic section. Every now and again you have to make a car payment/repair. Most of the time you don't! Good luck! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 92 Camry 01 Forester
  9. I've been down in St. George UT watching the UROC Pro & Unlimited class, Rock Crawling. That was great! It lets me know just how off-road challenged I really am! I'm up for playing around Utah or somewhere nearby? The trailer Queen "Summer" is still with out a tow rig and trailer but I'll deal with that when the time comes. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  10. Seems like there is a ton of old Subies up in that direction. I found two in Heber a few weeks ago. I'm still trying to track down one that someone entered in a demolition derby up there. I want his drivetrain parts! I think the Subies migrate to smaller towns because of the emission laws in the bigger towns. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  11. What Subiemech said! You can do it with the inst panel in place. It's not much fun but can be done. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Good Luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer speedo cable's been off so many times, I now have low miles... 01 Forester
  12. Mine went about 20 years without changing.... For what its worth... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

Pics, Pics, Pics! We have inquiring minds!
  14. I haven't seen the movie but you think the crowd would have more respect, and admiration for such a fine Automobile:rolleyes:
  15. Thanks! I have a relay that I bought but didn't use for the Buggy headlights. That might work. I wana find the sensor that should be activating the problem fan and look at that first. Question: Any ideas on what might have malfunctioned (sensor?) that I can look at first? Hints on where its located might help too. Thanks for your help. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester gonna get fixed one way or the other!
  16. Looks fun.........but I think I'm out classed:-\
  17. Is this an SCCA event? I used to run my 78 Civic in those... I thought the idea like Pac-Man, to eat as many cones as possible:lol: Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  18. Thanks for the help, I think I have tried everything suggested.... I swapped the relays under the hood and no matter which relay (sub fan and main fan) the right side fan came on--with the A/C. So this tells me the relays are both good. I checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood. So I know it's not the fuses. I jumped 12 volts to the left fan and it came on! At this point I'm suspecting a control thermostat???? Note: someone before me swapped out the Left harness fan connector for something different and zip tied the connectors together because the new connector would not lock onto the fan connector? However it still seems to be connected? Any thoughts? Now there is cooler weather it's not acting up, but I'd still like to fix this problem. Thanks, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester:(
  19. Sko's gonna be doing some drillin! Can you get the drum/disk off? If you could it would make drilling easier. In fact you may be able to drill out the back of the stud and pop it through the front side? Good Luck Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  20. That thing is just plain COOL! What does the back end look like with the cover off? Looking Good! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  21. Ok, I won't be making it to the show this weekend so I thought I'd unveil my secret project here...... Test your knowledge, do you recognize these steelies:confused: I'll upload more pics later.....*Now With even more pics* I could get into endless trouble with these..... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer now with real steelies 01 Forester had to settle for steel belted radials
  22. There is a handful of Subie Folks in Vegas, you just need to find them. Take a long time and sort through the Members and you'll find there are more than you think.... Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  23. There are some industrial tires available for 13" rims. There are some great tractor tires for 14" rims, but... There is no 13" Atv tire! However, you can get anywhere from a 25, 26, 27, 28 in an Atv tire. The problem you going to find is they are all on the 12" rim. None of the existing 12" rims will fit a Subaru. There is one size that is close, it's a 4 X 144 NOT a 4 X 140! You need the 4 X 140. The second problem is the 4 X 144 is a front rim only in that size so you won't be able to run the wide tires your thinking. You'll need at least an 8" rim to run the tires you want. The Justy up in Washington has custom made rims. I had to do the same. It's not cheap. None of your other options are....... Subisandrail's link to rocky mountain atv is a good start. I got my tires there cheaper than any other place. You'll want a minimun of a 6 ply tire because of the weight and abuse your going to be putting on the tires. I ended up using the Dirt Devil 26 X 12 X 12 because it had the deep lugs I wanted and the plys I needed and the size that would keep my gearing. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21 Been there done that, Let me know if I can help! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  24. Happens all the time with the AT wagons! They are just too fast! If you accelerate much faster the water will just vaporize and you'll never see it. You'll just leave a contrail like jets do!
