Code P0325
Sweet82 replied to crowheart's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXDo a search on the error code and/or knock sensor. There are a lot of folks having issues with that little part. I moved my sensor...and I still get that error message every now and then.

Did a little body work Memorial day weekend!
Don't just leave us hanging............ I took the Buggy out Memorial weekend and put a good 60 miles on it, but I'm not making any blank posts about it? Instead, I'm hijacking one, Took it up in the Uinta Mountains we went through snow at about the 9000 ft level. Buggy ran fine.

Wind noise fix = hero!
Sweet82 replied to mtsmiths's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhich part of the window was making the noise? Was it the part by the side view mirror? I have a similar issue and have not been able to figure it out yet.

Stock front bumper + Winch?
What car are we talking about? The original Brats and EA81s had a push bar that could hold a winch.

Looking for tips/tricks?
Anyone got any good tricks for polishing/derusting the old Subie Lug Nuts? The Chrome gets stained from rusty places and they are impossible to polish by conventional means. I'm looking for an easy way to restore what chrome is left on these lugs, but this is not something I want to waste much time or effort on. Any Ideas? Thanks, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--dirty lugs 84 GL Mad Max--dirty lugs 01 Forester--getting dirty lugs

2001 Subaru Forester: Buy or Pass up?
Sweet82 replied to manateepunch's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe car should be good for a whole lot more miles than it has. Subaru does have minor issues with headgaskets. It's not just Foresters, they all have the same motor. The odds on having to fix one is low. I have a Trooper. They also have a headgasket issue. Took 18 years for it to finally fail. If the Forester does the things you need it to do, buy it! All cars have issues. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 84 GL Mad Max 01 Forester

Roll over, 'ru! [56k beware page 3!]
Did you offend your Subaru in any way:rolleyes: As soon as you park next time be sure to say Sit in a firm voice! And "Stay" might also be a good thing to say. Bad Subaru!!! Might want to check the exhaust and do minor repairs while it's on it's side?

Gift To USMB
I was kinda hoping there would be a clear winner. They didn't really pick a favorite, they just danced around and said they all have their good and bad points. We all know Subaru won after all, how many are still in production. Good article, Glenn

Relocating knock sensor
Sweet82 replied to fnlyfnd's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI relocated my sensor on my 01 Forester. I didn't notice much difference. The light comes on less frequently but still comes on. Performance is the same. Fuel ecomomy is the same.

CamoBunny?
Provo is about 30 minutes South. There are a handfull of board members down that way.

Anybody have RC cars to bring to WCSS9?
Making one would not be hard? You'd need an idea of the number of vehicles. Then the frequencies. They could have a good time just about anywhere?

Where o where to get a knock sensor
Sweet82 replied to akafriday's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have the same problem, same code, I just relocated it and left it alone. I still get a CEL on occasion. It does not seem to change how it runs. I'm still looking for a good price too...:-\

How many miles once the gas light comes on?
Sweet82 replied to 211's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXCheck your owners manual. I had that issue pop up on a road trip. I had my navigator check the owners manual and we calculated that we were actually going to make it to our destination if the book was correct. It was... Normally it would not have been an issue but we were only getting 21 mpg on that trip On the road.

CamoBunny?
Who are you? In Salt Lake City last Saturday I saw an EA82 Wagon driving down the road with a Camo paint scheme. The paint was done with bunny stencils, Black, Tan, Green Bunnys! Hundreds of them! I died laughing! That's the best scheme I've seen.

thermometer - slow responding
Sweet82 replied to jib's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI've had the same complaint. Subaru just sent another sensor unit. It did the same thing. My slow sensor was on the optional gauge pack in the center of the dash. The one in the drivers instrument cluster works fine. Glenn, 2001 Forester

2008 Subaru design
Sweet82 replied to RAugur33's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI just read an article on the 2008 Impreza this morning. I though it was a Chevrolet! I had to look at the emblem several times... I didn't look like a Subie to me! The Hatchback part is fine by me but it's the grill that I had a hard time with grill.

Anybody have RC cars to bring to WCSS9?
Not a thread hijack! Bring these things to WCSS9. Now on to business. I made a blimp out of a "hover disk" and one of those "micro sizer" r/c cars. I use weights to keep it neutral and as the helium leaks out, I just remove weights. It will last over a week on a charge of helium.
