  1. at 150,000 miles and a five year old battery i cant blame PB, as much as i would like too. Both are due for replacement. nipper
  2. no there isnt , but any autozone or a store like that will do it for free. nipper
  3. i meant to ask, is the car running at a normal temp? When was the last time the t-stat was changed? nipper
  4. Couple of possabilities. First is a radiator cap that is not opening. Second is just old hoses. A blown HG can blow a hose, but it requires a bad cap to do it. Replace the cap first. nipper
  5. oh suuuuuuurrrrreeeee mock the magical electrons and the farrie pixles that make these things work.... see how far that gets you :-p nipper
  6. Well thats no fun, its perfectally rational and easy to do, where is the fun in that ? nipper
  7. DAMNIT! Something changed on my puter and half the pics are little red 'x's. Thats what i get for going away.. HELP (win xp pro) nipper
  8. I've been trying to figure that out for years.... i just put them in my album. nipper
  9. Wlel you dont have to remove it to say if its the driveshaft. A physicla insepction of the universal joints and the carrier bearing will tell you rather quickly if that is the source. nipper
  10. You need to read all the codes in the car. You have a bad sensorsomeplace. The car is stuck in limp mode. Does your CEL work? Does your transmission temp light work ? nipper
  11. if you dont own it, walk away from it. it may be a flood car. These things just dont quit spontanously. It's rare on the board to see them come up, i can remeber only 6 of them as the car being dead, and a few others with odd runing. nipper
  12. what in hell was he going to sell you? i wouild report the mechanic to the dealership owner first, then to subaru. Have you told anyone about this? nipper
  13. ECU's dont just suddenly burn up. How did they come to this assumption? Are tere any codes. nipper
  14. Sounds normal, now if you said 40 i'ld steal your car. EPA figures are just a guide, your milage may be higher or lower depending on how you drive, speed and weather. If i hold blu to 50 i can see 32 mpg, but typical on the highway (65-70) is 26. 1mpg +/- doesnt mean anything in the big scheme of things. You would know rather quickly if your AWD is not working, like stated above. nipper
