If you have never had the HEad gaskets done, I would Say yes for sure, you are having the typical headgasket Issue.... You can try limping it, but I would Not suggest it that far from Home... How many miles can you put in before it blows all water, and needs more...? Is the Dealer not wanting to do Heads....? Good Luck, John in Oregon.....

Should Be a Direct swap in... Only thing you will need to do is re-adjust the shift rod underneath at the tranny......Not sure if you can swap the Pistol style XT shifter or not, But I do know the Tranny will swap in.....Make sure to keep converter with tranny.... Later, John.....

Hey Krissy, Not saying its in the same spot, But you said Pasenger side, So I am assuming something similar......cause there is nothing on that side accept return line and Holding tank....... I have the Overflow bottle here, Austin was going to bring it up there for you.... Let me know what you find........John

Hey Krissy, Look at the front edge of radiator on passenger side just over the edge from the top....That is where the other one developed its crack in the tank..... Keep the overflow bottle at least half full all the time till you figure it out.... Call me if you need me to explain it in more detail...... Later, John 541-729-8490

Here is My experience With what your Looking for..... I am currently playing with an 85 RX sedan.....You can get this Sedan From 85 thru 93 as a GL or GL-10 Turbo Model.....Main difference between the years were GL's had Carbed Engine with 5 sp Hi only or Auto 4x4 or 2WD.... GL-10 Models Almost exclusively had turbo, Auto 4x4 or 2wd Auto with 3:70 gears.... The Other Big Difference is GL had Manual Door locks/cranks and GL-10 had Power everything.....In 88-93 sedans You can also Find SPFI models Running 5 sp.Hi only 4x4 RX Sedan Was only ran in 85-86 I think......??? And Was Manual 5 Speed HI-Lo With 3:70 gears..... Power everything and Was Turbo Charged Motor...... I am Currently playing with my 85 RX For rally And Auto Cross.... If I were you , Look for any Turbo Sedan.....Auto or Stick 4x4.....It can be converted easily with right parts.....This Board Is full of them.....I have all things needed as well......Then First thing to change if Motor Runs, Is to get a 5 Speed Hi-Lo 3:90 Ratio tranny and rear diff and Stuff it .....this Trans. Makes Turbo spool faster, Giving you better HP in the Bottom end of Motor.....Stay with your 13 inch tires ......Open the Exhaust up to 2 1/2 inch pipe off the turbo and Then 3inch under the car.......Get rid of the stock air can And Go with a Cone type, you can also Install an Intercooler..... You can also Install a Bost control Valve and Guage....I run My boost right now around 10psi...... I work on these Cars, And Am into mine for very Little Right now.....First trip Out with it to a Rally I managed To place 1st in Open class with it...... If your interested in a Ready to Go runner, I have a Nice one right now I am trying to sell for a Customer.....It is an 87 Gl-10 Sedan It was an auto 4x4.... It is now a 5 speed Hi-Lo 3:90 runner with Turbo.....Not much elso done to it....Motor has a Complete re-seal done with no Miles on it as yet....Also Has almost new 2 row Radiator To help keep turbo Motor Cooler..... car has about 215,000 on odometer I think...., motor has 135,000 and tranny has about the same......It will drive anywhere you want it to..... I Still can't believe I won Open....... My car had Many little Issues First I had No power Steering, as The Rack has a Bad leak, So I ran with it Dry... Second I Had stuck my Recaro Seat in the day Before, And Forgot to Weld in the Bracketry on the driver side, So right off the start gate I was sitting sideways... Third.....When I got to the Meet, I went to stick My Mud tires on, and Discovered the Bolt Holding the Pivot point for driverside Rear swing arm was Wrong and Ghetto from the Previous Owner, Decided to run it as is, and on my final Run a 1/3 of the way into the Coarse, I lost that Bolt completely, so The swing arm was flopping madly around all out of Whack.....Causing my Steering wheel adjustment bar to loosen, and allow steeering wheel to float up and Down in full travel mode..... All this on the last Lap made me think, I had lost all chances of even placing, Cause the steering floating, caused me to hit 2 cones..... Times for the 3 runs were a 1.42.?? for first run with 4 cones hit 1.32.16 No cones on second 1.32.00 on last with issues and 2 cones...... My car is Nowhere Near being Dialed in yet....... Wait till I get it All fixed up propper, and Right....... Later, All..........John

If You must change, I know from personal Swapping , that all Were Basically the same from 90-00 ....Only diff was in Speed-O Cable Hook-up...... On 90-92 it has a Mechanical Speed-O, on 92 and Newer they went to Electronic Pick-up.....Both Units Bolted into the same spot on the tranny.... All electrical conections were the same.....A few wires changed color, but perform same function...... I Stuck a 70,000 mile 97 trans into a 90 Sedan, with no issues Hope this helps, John in Oregon.....

You will not be able to swap the Hi-lo Diff part of the tranny... you can However swap in a Complete Hi-Lo tranny in its Place.....Drive line Length is the same, and All shift points are the same..... You will want the Shifting hardware off the Duel range, as It doesn't have the Push button, and It will have the Hi-Lo stick as well..... Pull your Shift Boot up, and you will find a Tin plate screwed down to the Shifter Hole in the Tunnel.....Pull it out, and You are ready to install the Hi-Lo..... Any EA-81 Radiator will work...... If you hapen to get one out of an Automatic car , it will have 2 small lines off the driver side tank.....Ignore them...they are for the transmission... Later, John
