  1. I do a little bit of wheeling down in Uwharrie. It don't do to bad for single range and sitting stock. I have run about all the trails down there with it except daniel. It sure turns heads out on the trail around these parts.
  2. thats the only one i found of it. I'm hoping to see this thing in action this weekend. I was really supprised to see that there was a subie that was even entered. I'm wondering how it will do.
  3. http://americanwheeler.com/Images/Rigs/127.jpg This rig is running in the stock class at an event in Uwharrie national forest this weekend. I'm hoping I can make it down there this weekend.
  4. Same here when I had a Brat. Or I would just leave them at home and hope it didn't rain.
  5. Yes that switch effects the tail lights. It turns them on, along with the parklights

    CB Radio

I've got a Cobra 25 running into a 2 pill amp and a Wilson 1000 antenna mounter on the center of the roof. It seems to do the trick. A good antenna is 90% of how well the radio will work.
  7. Only a Subaru could be bought this way:clap:
  8. I've benn running just the one belt for 3 years and havn't had any problems. It will be ok.
  9. The no dash lights problem sounds like you have the dimmer switch turned all the way down. Like SubaruJunkie asked, do you know where the dimmer knob is? The Knob to the left of the steering column on the dash?
  10. I'm down here in Asheboro, NC, a couple of hours from Va.
  11. Keep your thumbs on the outside of the wheel when 4wheeiling. A shimmy shock won't really help the wheel from getting whipped around offroad.
  12. Thats how it should go. But in my case, the drum is stuck on the spindle. I pulled the trailing arm off the car, after heating and hammering and soaking and more hammering. Then let a pool of kroil set in there for two days with the whole set up setting upright. More heat and hammering with no luck. Took the mess down to a local shop where their 50 ton press wouldn't seperat or even budge the spindle, so I am on the search for trailing arms and brakes.
  13. Hit the dash with your hand. When my dashlights go out this always seems to bring them back.
  14. When I talk to my car, its mostly words that I can't really post here and it isn't ever too nice. But it does seem to help
  15. Now that I got most of the leake in my exhaust patched up, my car is quieter than I can remember. Actually, its too quiet. Now I'm thinking about a glasspack to give it a bit more sound.
  16. Thats about where my gauge stays also exept for the hottest of hot days, then it just sets a touch higher than that. Seems normal.
  17. Simple solution to the tire spin. Don't get on the throtle hard at take off, unless you want to spin tires
  18. Keep the hammer down. Once you get up to 100mph, which will take a llloonnnggg time, keep the hammer down and don't let up until you need fuel.
  19. When the bed fills up with pine needles, bring the Brat, and pine needles down to NC. I can sell the pine needles, give you the $$$ from the pine needles, and you can leave that Brat here. Whatda ya think?
  20. I guess if you are well off financially you should'nt be driving a 4 year old Subaru? Huh? I can guarantee ya if I was alot better off in the $$$ department I wouldn't have anything new in my driveway, but maybe a couple of more "polished turds" or "virtually worthless automobliles"
  21. The nest time I do mine the covers are staying off. It takes more time messng with the covers then it does changing the belts.
  22. They should work for your 87. I'm going to order some of these shafts next week. Oh, yeah duralast is crap.
  23. I have found that a cheap pair of vise-grips works good to hold struts up.
  24. I've done this a time or two. Nails work as a great replacement for cotter pins
