  1. Who else will be there? I think we should all gather for a HUGE caravan. Would like to reach the show before 5pm on Friday if possible. Anyone??? anyone?? -Brian
  2. Not to mention: http://www.usmb.net/gallery/ -Brian
  3. You luck sonofa.... Damnit Eric I cant seem to find a brat anywhere anymore, and here you are... $400 you cant beat that! Will it be lifted for the show??? Better get to work! -Brian
  4. 2" would be the best. use the stock Y pipe and have 2" pipe welded to the rear. Straight pipe sounds good, but a nice muffler will help to create some backpressure and bring your low end power back. -Brian
  5. Probably the same dude who said "rock your mullet" here when he tried to sell his '82 Black Brat for $2k. -Brian
  6. Yeah I wont have any more days off between now and the show either... so I hope the RX is ready for the trip! -Brian
  7. If its speed dependant then that would point to bearings as well. They are kinda tough to tear apart, i hear its easier to swap the rear hub with one from a good car. -Brian
  8. Toy with the timing... find out what it's at stock and bump it up 5 degree's or so If its carburated you can modify the carburator, but you must remove it. You dont need to dismantle it but you can make it so it will open both barrels manually. Ive done it on my EA81 and i could tell a difference. -Brian
  9. if its a constant sound than it could be bearings. If its intermittent and causes vibration its probably a CV. Rear CV's rarely go out on stock sube's, so im thinking maybe its a bearing. -Brian
  10. I drove it out of him over AIM. I had to sell him my soul, but its worth it! I dont think Im going to put clear lenses in the turn signals until i find a way to wire a 120watt bulb or something -Brian
  11. I'll be there. All weekend, ariving Friday afternoon... will leave when the groundskeeper kicks me out -Brian
  12. I think it was the time we got in a high speed chase in Longview... or was that the same trip. The trip when i we got stranded at Mt. Hood was my 2nd vacation when I was a senior. That was 6 years ago. -Brian
  13. I got your gas money. Maybe after i get back from the show. And I think its been more than 6 years... my 1st winter vacation in Clatskanie was when I was a sophmore... that was like 8 years ago! 5 years ago you drove up to Seattle with Jason in his T-Bird to see me on my layover. I was looking at that Exedy clutch kit on ebay, and i think i'll get that. Im also going to re-seal my EA82 while its out. I could do it myself, but it would be cool to have you here to help -Brian
  14. THats not a bad price to have that lense shipped to you. Junkyard prices might be in the $30-$50 range for a complete composite light. The bulbs might be alittle costly as well. -Brian
  15. Eli's the man! Ive known that kid for quite some time (how long now E?) and I'm glad to hear he's finally doing some good in this world Which clutch did you go with? I will need to do my clutch here soon... Eli! Want to come do it for me? -Brian
  16. Yeah i love the clear lenses as well. WHY WONT YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU GOT THEM!!!! :-\ -Brian
  17. Drill it on the outside edge of the lid. That way the filter is still sealed. You wouldnt want to drill holes in the center of the lid, cause that way unfiltered air would be able to enter the carb. If you dont want to buy a weber, you can do a 2bbl mod to the 2bbl hitachi's. I did it, and i think i have a write-up somewhere on it. -Brian p.s. FOUND IT! Here it is http://subaru4wd.usmb.net/Sep2002/howtos/carb.html
  18. Stock spoiler's maximum downforce is around 0lbs of actual downforce. Our cars dont reach speeds where a spoiler will supply much downforce. The wieght of the spoiler itself is probably putting more downforce on our rear wheels than the wind that passes over it. As far as looks, I saw that fiero spoiler would look nice on a RX. If it were painted to match and installed properly. I think our coupes look 10,000x better with a spoiler. -Brian
  19. The K&N will help, the holes in the filter cover will help, but a scoop would do almost nothing. Would look cool tho. I cut a huge chunk out of the side of my filter lid on my carbbed EA81. I noticed a small difference. The weber is the best way to go. -Brian
  20. Eli has one, he goes by SuBrat84. Where you at E? -Brian
  21. Brad... me and JB should be ariving Thursday afternoon-ish. We'll be meeting Dave and Jeremy in Vancouver for pizza and then we have a room there for Thursday night. Not sure when the caravan's leaving from Vancouver, but maybe we can all meet up, the more the merrier! -Brian
  22. Yeah, i am cheap... i guess I wasted $12. There are some better looking ones for upwards of $90 to $100 that do the same thing though, they look like they're built alittle better but I dont know if its worth that much $$ We'll see how the replacement turbo does and then i'll worry about higher boost. -Brian
