Post your WCSS7 pics here
here is the album I am setting up for the WCSS pictures: http://usmb.net/gallery/wcss7 Austin, please create a new album for your pictures, there, make sure all your images and video are in that album. I will be happy to create accounts for people who would like their images hosted here (much better than the USMBs gallery, and unlimited space). Please dont take advantage of it.... and contact me via PM. My images are there... I think Brad and Jay will be adding theirs soon. -Brian

Subaru capital of the US?
Alaska has more Subarus per person than any other state in the US. Considering the human population to Subaru population, I would think It would be the Subaru Capitol of the world. Anyone who has ever lived in Alaska will back me up on that. -Brian

New to the comunity!!!
Both your '80 and '83 will have an EA81 in it. They are OHV and have no timing belts or chains. To lift it, look into a PK Davis lift or one from AA. If you want to run larger tires you can get Peugeot rims that have the 4x140mm lug pattern in 14 or 15" size. Your stock subie rims are all 13". You can also drill out your hubs and make them 6x140 with ease and use any common toyota or 6 lug rim. The '87 Sedan you are getting will have a EA82 in it. 1.8liter with OHC and timing belts. If its turbo, check it for compression. Chances are a free '87 Turbo will need much more than a fuel pump. Welcome to the board, there's alot to be learned here. -Brian

EA81 w/ dual carb set up
That guy and I have had some choice words. We didnt get along too well, but I know he is a pretty reputable Subaru mechanic. If you want to find the BEST subaru mechanics in AK, head to Specialized Import Auto in Anchorage Pix would be nice... any idea where he got the engine? -Brian

Portland Area meet and cruise to wcss7

So how'd I do?
You luck sonofa.... Damnit Eric I cant seem to find a brat anywhere anymore, and here you are... $400 you cant beat that! Will it be lifted for the show??? Better get to work! -Brian

Best exhaust system for a EA81 Brat
2" would be the best. use the stock Y pipe and have 2" pipe welded to the rear. Straight pipe sounds good, but a nice muffler will help to create some backpressure and bring your low end power back. -Brian

Headed west in about 1.5 hours.... (Home finally!)
See ya in a week mick. Drive safely -Brian

BRAT Entertainment
Probably the same dude who said "rock your mullet" here when he tried to sell his '82 Black Brat for $2k. -Brian

The WCSS is practicly next week!
Yeah I wont have any more days off between now and the show either... so I hope the RX is ready for the trip! -Brian

grumbling noise
If its speed dependant then that would point to bearings as well. They are kinda tough to tear apart, i hear its easier to swap the rear hub with one from a good car. -Brian
