  1. Here in the sierra's the jeepers wheel in the snow by lowering their tire pressure to just above 10psi. A guy I know can goto 2psi with his bead locks. On snow that is what you need, and those guys have perfected the art. Mud is a totally different story. Yes, clearance will be your best bet for mud, and grippy nasty tires too. -Brian
  2. Ive heard it doesnt hurt to mix different wieghts, so long as you do not mix synthetic with conventional oil. -Brian
  3. Yeah, it depends on which one you have. There's a pushbar that mounts to your front tow hooks, and theres another pushbar that is longer and mounts to the engine crossmember. The longer style pushbar is not a direct bolt on if your subaru has plastic bumpers. I Had a write up with step by step instructions but its long gone by now. -Brian
  4. Dont let JB see it. If he does, it wont be sitting for long I say, if you can save it... try to get it. -Brian
  5. Plastic Fender Thing? I'll have to check my manual for that, never heard of it. I have mine modded just alittle: If by "Plastic fender thing" you mean bumper trim... ive got mine painted as well. -Brian
  6. Yup, my sig has one too Ive been able to fit 6x8s in the front of my RX. I dont have pix, but I should get some. I didnt have to use any spacers, and they are not shallow by any means. -Brian
  7. Every bearing Ive had has used the same seals for inner and outer. I dont think they're any different. But it may differ for EA82's. -Brian
  8. Tweak all you want. I have all my logo's saved in Photoshop files with layers and whatnot, if you need the originals just PM me. -Brian
  9. What a coincedance.... on April 20th too The board definatly wouldnt be the same without you Zap!! -Brian
  10. If i send you the VIN for like.. 3 of the other STi's around here... can I get keys for them too I'll try to save up some $$ for this and paypal it to ya. I was just thinking the other day how I dont have a spare RX key, so I could use a new key. I think i'll have you send it to my parents though... wouldnt want you to have a key to my RX AND my Address -Brian
  11. I'd like it etched, and a pint would be fine by me. Any idea what logo your going to use? I would suggest trying to get a few extra's, Im sure they'd sell out at the show. -Brian
  12. *wave goodbye* Make sure you ship my shift knob before you disapear. And if you do goto the dark side, i want your DP and turbo. -Brian
  13. Get in line Dave Jibs already has me booked to do some rear disc brake stuff to his brat. I should be able to find time to help you both out soon... hopefully. -Brian
  14. OH!! Somepeople call the steering knuckle a hub, thats why i thought... The hub that holds your lugs, yeh thats simple. Goto the junkyard and pull a couple, you want to make sure there is no slop in the ones you pull, and that they seat properly. Have you taken your hub apart to make sure theres nothing caught up in there? Maybe some mud from WCSS I believe there are 4 bolts that hold the hub to the rotor, and they are all 12mm. You will need to remove the 36mm castle nut as well. -Brian
  15. I read up on CB's and how they work, and how to tune them to your antenna. But alot of it I couldnt understand, and when I got my CB it seemed to work perfectly on the trail I got my CB for $30 from wal-mart and spent about $60 for the whip and base with the cable. Here it is installed: -Brian
  16. Dave, used knuckles should do the trick. There's nothing special required other than a 36mm socket for the CV Castle nut, and a Prybar or pickle fork for the ball joints. I would recommend replacing the bearings and ball joints with new ones and do both sides. It wont be difficult, but it will be messy -Brian
  17. My WCSS6 mug isnt being drank out of, it's more of a display and now its full of nickles, dimes and quarters. -Brian
  18. i'll definatly be in for a mug this year. I say we switch it up a bit and use a different style mug -Brian
  19. How about a photo forum? That way we can keep up with peoples photo taking I like photos. -Brian
  20. I sold my SS to buy my RX. I love my RX 1000x more than i ever did my SS. My SS wasnt without problems, but the RX is alot lighter and more agile. I do not get as much understeer as I did in the SS but of course, my RX has better tires and alot less body wieght. The SS would smoke the RX anyday of the week however, the EA82T is nothing compared to a turbocharged EJ22. If you have a family to tote around, get a SS. If you want to have some fun in a 20yr old car... get a RX -Brian
  21. Lug nuts are necessary. Do not even attempt to use subaru lugs on the rims, you risk the chance of the rims comming off your car. The only DEFINATE answer you'll get is "try for yourself". They shouldnt rub on your car, but only 100% surefire way to know is to mount them up yourself. -Brian
  22. Yup, you can find 14" and 15" alloys in 4x140 from Peugeot only. They also have 14" and 15" steels. -Brian
