  1. Use the KYB's. they are a far superior strut. You will never need the adjustability. If you do change the height of your strut, you are destroying your tires. Its not an even trade off. If you use the KYB's, you won't be sorry.
  2. I grew up in Alaska, & I saw so many horrrrrrrible accidents as the result of a Moose. Seemed like every week was another story about somebody being killed after hitting a moose. They stand so tall that you take their legs out when you hit them, then you have like 1200lbs of meat crushing your face.
  3. !!!GEARS!!!! This is gonna be so sweet! Started to install my transfercase gears tonight. Here's a comparison between stock and aftermarket (left to right) And my workspace. Doing all this to a spare transfercase I have. so there is no downtime on the rig. Although, I should be able to get this finished and swap the cases by this weekend. Sure wish it were this easy for the soobs
  4. First trip was yesterday Jared. I took it up the hill and did some snow wheelin with a friend of mine. It did great, except for the lack of traction due to nearly bald tires. But 6psi seemed to do the trick. Not alot of flex shots, but those pix wont come for a couple more months. I really need to work on getting a front Locker. I think I will probably buy a spool and install that in the rear, and move the detroit up front. That will be the cheapest route for now. Zap, the rear seats are nice, but getting to them suck with the 2 door config. The cargo space is nice as well, I hauled home four 36" swampers today for a friend. As far as the spring perch for the 63's, im not too concerned. Its all about tire placement, and if done properly I shouldn't hang up. But we'll have to wait and see... there will be snow all over the trails for at least the next 2 months.
  5. Yeah, i dont have one just yet... but that is the style I am looking for. I preffer the look of the Long style A bar over the short style. You still making lifts Patrick? I might be interested in getting one of them 2 inchers from you if you can.
  6. Naw its not like yours. Its an A type pushbar, doesnt cover the headlights. And it doesnt mount to the tow hooks like yours, it uses the 2 bolts that hold the engine crossmember to the body. When you drop that crossmember, it drops the pushbar and doesn't fit propperly.
  7. Patrick, that Brat looks propper lifted 2" I have been thinking about giving mine alittle lift to make it look more like a Truck. I think 2" will be perfect. Did you drop the engine xmember when you did the lift?? I'd like to try and leave the crossmember in position so I can still use a OEM pushbar, but I guess I could always modify the pushbar if needed.
  8. I actually have a set of square lights at home I was thinking of putting on. So we'll see how it turns out. And I'll have to wait till I get home to view your pix... im at work and they block Photobucket here.
  9. thanks Guys. I could get more flex, but the rear shocks are limiting it right now. I think it will be a great starting point. Just have to wait till the snow melts now so I can take it out and quit with the poser shots.
  10. Its saturday, im at work... its slow and im bored. So what's a guy to do??? Lets pull the 4Runner around back and see how much flex we can get!?!?! I have an ad on Craigslist right now looking for a new hood & drivers side fender. Its not cherry, but it will sure serve its purpose!!
  11. Push & pull shouldnt matter. I would think it would work... i have heard of people using WRX clutches in their 2.2 Legacys Im suprised you havent gotten a better responce. I hate to say it, but NASIOC maybe the best place for a more correct answer.

You planning on using ATV rims?
  13. Those Days are Over! What was that canyon you took me to the day I brought my Hatch up there? When it was stock, not when it was lifted... ...I wanna go back there now!
  14. Replacing the gears. I cant afford to stack t-cases. I do have a spare case and I had originally planned on putting double cases in my old truck, but its cheaper to just do the gears for now. Then later, when i want to go EVEN LOWER i will stack a second case and have 2.28:1 + 4.7:1
  15. I just ordered 4.7:1 transfercase gears for it  Cant wait. This thing will be brutal!!
  16. Happy Birthday, but no.. your not getting my 4Runner!! Im already in love with this thing and Ive only driven it home Shopped for months to find the right one.

Ok so what didn't make sense? Lets start there.
  18. Just locked in the rear.... for now And don't worry, I can drag you guys over anything!
  19. Grats dude!! Thats awesome!!
  20. Ya ya ya.... The tires are brand spankin new, let me get at least 1000 miles on them before you all make me take them off!!
  21. No im looking at the box and your extraordinary packing skills sitting next to my computer desk. haven't even opened it.
  22. These tires are not for the snow. I might have my snow tires mounted to these other rims I have and then I will feel better about driving across the pass. And the lights will be comming off soon and going onto my new wheeler. I took the car to Subway today and the lady making my sandwich mentioned how she had never seen a car with lights on it like that... and i said "Yeah, looks kinda goofy huh??" She agree'd and told me it reminded her of Mickey Mouse. Which is exactly what I thought the first time I installed them
