  1. Here is Shean (The Scooby) I am uploading pictures as we speak, but this one is already done :-p
  2.  WTF!!???!?!??!!!! Im about to get you back for posting that one!
  3. Edrach... where are all your pictures!?!?!?! Im uploading a few right now. Jibs got 556 pictures, most are of our drive up and our drive home though. Weeding through them all now.
  4. xmsn?? Is that the new instant messeger for the XBOX?? .001% of the USMB population are ham radio operators. 100% of the population are Subaru owners. If you are looking for a quick response to a question, propper spelling will save you more time than abbreviating a word.
  5. Thats why I posted up over here. Dave (NV Zeno) will be bringing a canopy for shade and he told me we gotta gather a couple picnic tables to place under it. So maybe if we share some shade, rob you can share some seating?? I have one camping chair that folds up, but is horribly uncomfortable. Would love to help with the fire pit.
  6. Well, nevermind. Alittle google work and I think i answered my own question. Nothing found at the website for the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. But I did find this site: http://www.crosscrusade.com/flyers/2007/october_28.html And taken from this site:
  7. I posted over at LegacyCentral and a member over there said the Astoria fairgrounds does not have tables in the camping area, and are not allowing any fires either. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=36921 Is this true? I am packing extremely light and was not planning on bringing a camp stove. I thought for sure they would have BBQ pits or something. Im also shocked to hear there will be no seating. Are these campsites like Hood River where its pretty much an open lawn?
  8. Jibs and Crazy D do not have internet so I will post this on their behalf. Not sure what their asking price, but I know Jibs will be bringing a LSD up to sell, and Crazy D will be bringing a PK Davis 2/3 EA81 lift.
  9. Sorry russ. Had I known, before this weekend, I may have been willing to go snag that for you. But now i definatly have no time to get it and bring it up... ...oh thats right. Your lame rump roast isnt even going to be at the show. You LOSE!
  10. Brake fluid is going to destroy your paint as well. You'll know if there is a long lasting leak, if you notice paint bubbling and flaking off of a certain area. That would be where the fluid is running from. It will eat through the primer and leave you with bare metal. So it shouldn't be too hard to spot. If there are no signs of paint damage, then chances are the leak is somewhere else. Maybe comming from a caliper, or somewhere along the line. Look under the car, cause it will also eat through the rust proofing they spray under your car. May help you identify where the leak is.
  11. All good points. I didnt think to check for any debris on the hubface when I installed the rotors. But that would make sence. I did clean the rotors with brake parts cleaner before installing. I even had a buddy handle them when installing cause my hands were filthy. I know for a fact I did not overtorque the lugs. I may have to pull everything to check the hubs though
  12. No problems while coasting. If I take my foot off the pedal while braking, the vibration disapears... I can coast down from 35 to 0 just as smooth as I can accelerate from 0 to 60. Yes, I had new tires installed the day after I put all new suspension on the car. Full alignment as well. That was about 5 months ago.
  13. I ordered the adapter I need for my fork so I can use my bike rack again. I should get the adapter today, this way I can bring my bike to the show. Singletrack... YUMMMM!!! I think a small ride around town will be more appropriate with the crowd. I'll be prepared for singletrack, but I dont think the rest will.
  14. That looks very sharp! Got any pictures on how its mounted to the car?
  15. So I've had this real annoying vibration in the brake pedal and steering wheel as I come to a stop from about 45. If I brake from 70 i dont feel much until i get down to 45 and then the front of the car shakes violently until probably 15mph, where i can still feel alittle pulsating in the brake pedal. This has been an ongoing problem for a while, and of course I always thought of warped rotors. Last weekend I put brand new rotors and pads on, and still... same thing. Almost no change at all. There are no problems at all when accelerating, or cruising. The car is smooth with no vibration at all... until i need to slow down or come to a stop. Kinda stumped here. -Brian p.s. Its a 1993 Legacy Turbo Wagon
  16. Yeah 4 pick and pulls, and a couple other private yards too. EA81's are getting harder and harder to find.
  17. This is the car he's selling: Its a standard hatchback. Looks like its gutted and should be pretty light. Dunno how safe it is with a full set of temp spare's as rims.
  18. Thanks for the heads up Do you remember seeing many Legacy's??
  19. Everything described here is common symptoms for a failing wheel bearing. Ive done more than I care to admit. And nipper is right, if they fail on you, you WILL need a tow truck, and the job WILL be 100x harder. Im as stumped as you are BRAAP. The problems you are describing are sure to be a wheel bearing, but it appears you've already replaced them.
  20. This is a simple fix.... ....Just get a louder stereo
  21. I have used a EA81 alt in a Turbo EA82 in the past. So it should work the other way around.
  22. It is entirely possible to have an intelligent conversation regarding these two type's of off-roading. Lets just try and keep sarcasm and our sense of humor out of it so we do not confuse eachother and turn this into a food fight. I cannot say I have ever been the burdon on a wheeling trip. But then again, I do not wheel with large packs like the Hatch Patrol does. Even with my 'Yota it is just me and my co-worker. I tend to stray away from the large packs of off-road groups, because there will always be one guy who is not prepared and will rely on someone from the group. The local Toyota club here has guidelines if you want to join them on their trip. They have a pack list with required tools, spare parts, and equipment that is necessary to rescue your rig. Nowhere in there does it say they will not lend a helping hand, all it boils down to is you be responsible for your rig and your party. The same should go for any sportsman willing to venture into the wilderness in their car/truck. This has turned from a pros/cons for Subaru v.s. Toyota into a debate against those wanting to wheel, and those willing to sacrifice half a day to help unprepared wheelers. Im sure thats not what Zap intended.
