  1. Damn that looks mean!! Gotta get us another pic when its mounted in the trike
  2. yeah there is a small depression on the base of the carb where sediment will build. That matches the coolant port. And im sure coolant leaked out of the port into the manifold, unless you drain the radiator before hand, its almost impossible to keep fluid from draining out into the manifold. Remove the plugs, check all your starter connections and battery connections. It should turn over. -Brian
  3. The coolant passage stops at the intake manifold. It doesnt enter the carb. -Brian
  4. Thanks for that info John. Im thinking of altering the route, or making a loop if there isn't much interest in checking out the coast. Here's a view of the same route, with the elevation map... I also plan on having someone pace us with my Wagon incase we run into trouble and need to shuttle someone back ASAP or someone gets too winded to carry on.
  5. Ok guys... where's what Im thinking. I found some dirt roads that lead from the fairgrounds to highway 30. Only thing I am unsure of is the elevation, wether there are hills or not. I took a couple screenshots of Yahoo Maps and highlighted the route: Once we're on highway 30, it isnt far to the coast and im sure we can find a place to take a break and take in the scenery. Here's a look of the same map with the Satelite image turned on:
  6. $250 is a good price if the engine is still good. As long as it didnt do a nose plant, the 2.2 should be in good condition. replace the oil. remove the spark plugs and crank over the motor to clear the cylinders, fire it up. -Brian
  7. You gonna run a carbbed EJ22 in this one too?
  8. Lookin at some maps of astoria and it looks like there are some dirt roads that lead from the Fairgrounds to the Coast. Only problem is I dont want to miss out on any WCSS activities, and the ride could take a couple hours depending on everybodies pace. But this isn't going to be a race, just an excuse to get out and see a different part of the west coast, so we promise we'll wait up for you Connie
  9. OF course girls are invited. As a matter of fact, I believe Bucky92 just bought a new bike and is thinking of shipping it to WA for the WCSS.
  10. I made this image a while back when I was doing wires for my car. This is for the EA81, but EA82 is the same, just the distributor is in a different location: -Brian
  11. Sure can! Just make sure you swap the entire exhaust. The engine crossmember. If you dont want to blow your motor up, i suggest you swap blocks as well. If the motor is originally a carburated motor, then you will need to swap your intake manifold, your wiring harness & install the ECU. Oh, and its probably a EA82... -Brian
  12. Yup, its gonna be a scorcher... bring plenty of liquids cause there is no A/C on the trails. Jeremy, do you know of any in your area to ride?
  13. I think im going to come up to the Cabela's store on Sunday. Might bring my bike if anyone wants to hit some local trails up there. -Brian
  14. the 360 was the first Subaru imported to the US. Fuji Heavy Industries started building cars in the 1954 and its first car was the P-1. In 1955 they renamed the P-1 to the Subaru. FHI made more scooters than cars until the 360 was developed. After the 360 came the FF1 which is probably even more rare the the 360 is today. http://www.subaru-global.com/history.html -Brian
  15. It looks spotless from a distance but up close there are plenty of dings and dents all over the car And i could have just mounted the rack backwards, but IMO that would look really gay. I would get post ride pix, but usually i bike w/out my camera. Maybe this weekend I'll snap some off
  16. Tell them its a family reunion Jibs. Thats the excuse I used when I started my job a few years ago... and it worked great Hope you can make it, wouldnt be the same without you. -Brian
  17. Ah yeah those types. I used one of those back in the day. It was my ex-girlfriends and it worked great for haulin the bikes to the trail and back... but it was a hassle to put on and take off everytime. That, and the front wheel was free to move and bounce around... plus, it would hide my new decals
  18. Alot of vehicles in the US use the tow hitch racks, however my legacy does not have a tow hitch and I have no desire to install one. The cost of the hitch assembly itself would be more than the two trays together, and then add in the cost of the rack assembly... its just way too much to be spending. Besides, i think it looks better with the bike on top My bike is real light, i can lift it ontop of the roof with one hand. The bike is a 2000 Specialized FSR Enduro Comp. It has Manitou Black Elite front fork, adjustable from 80mm to 100mm with adjustable rebound & dampening. Everything else is pretty much stock. Shimano XT derailers. It has Hayes HFX-9 front and rear disc brakes. Im about to purchase a new rear shock and im either getting the Fox Float RP2 or the RP23.
  19. Since I got the mountain bike and have been using the piss out of it, time to dress up the car alittle. I ordered up some bike trays from Rocky Mounts. These things are awesome, they fit on the stock luggage rack and dont cost an arm and a leg ($85 per tray). The tray didnt quite fit right... it sat too far back and kept me from opening my rear hatch. I had to reverse the top mount to scoot the tray forward a couple inches. That still didnt give me enough room so I had to slightly modify the front rail in order to move it 2" farther forward. That gave me just enough room to open the rear hatch without a bike on the tray, which is good enough for me I got a second tray I will install this weekend incase I need to tote a friend with me. Well now that the bike trays are there, I gotta have something that sais I use it, even if there isn't a bike in it. So I got me some more decals to help fill in the blank window space on my car Got them in the mail yesterday and quickly went out to see what would look best. This is what I came up with: -Brian
  20. As if there already isnt enough to do at the show, I wanna do a short bike ride. Im planning on bringing my Mt. Bike with me, and I know a couple others are as well. I am going to start researching the area and maybe find a simple trail to play on. Maybe something 5miles out and 5miles back. I know its real early to be planning stuff, but realisticly we got like 3 months before the show. So who all is in? -Brian
  21. a decal remover works great. http://www.menintools.com/ast1208a.html
  22. Yes... gotta get rid of that fender gap.
  23. Yup, seeing if we're gonna have anyone else tagging along with us. I think I'm going to have to call jibs via telephone (GASP) cause his internet seems to be limited these days.
