  1. $200 for a XT6 AND you got to drive it home??? You should go play the lottery tonight. You are one lucky man!!
  2. Jeremy I was lookin at those trails last night when you sent me that link. Alot of them seem to be more for Advanced riders. Alot of great looking terrain, i definatly wanna try some out someday -Brian
  3. That map is kinda confusing Dave. it shows more than just one trail. I posted the other link because it had a description and a couple photos of the trail itself. I heard on the news it was supposed to get up to the 70s up there this weekend That should help a bit.
  4. There is no front driveshaft. Unless you have a divorced transfer case... but you don't. If the vehicle is in motion, the rear driveshaft will rotate wether or not the car is in 4WD or not. If the vehicle is not in motion, but the front tires are spinning, and the rear driveshaft is rotating, but the rear tires are not spinning. Then the only thing it can be would be the diff or the CV joints. However, if it were the CV's you would hear it. If it were the diff, you should be able to hear it as well.. unless you did a good job stripping all the gears off it.
  5. I have a crazy idea. Put it in 4WD! Make sure the 4WD linkage isnt broken or out of adjustment. With the lift, it may look like its in 4WD but actually be in FWD. Start simple, then work your way back.
  6. http://theflumetrail.com/ridingmap/description.html NV Zeno suggested that trail. I think it looks like a great trail to start the season off with. Anyone have any idea when it will be clear of snow?
  7. Its just common knowledge really. Better exhaust = better performance. I believe the stock exhaust pipe is 2.25" but I maybe wrong. 2.5" would be a decent increase, you still need backpressure with a N/A engine so you dont want to go super huge. Right now, my car has no muffler. There really isnt much of a performance gain because its a turbo car and I still have the stock downpipe... the turbo cant tell if i have a muffler or not (but my ears can ) Any muffler shop should be able to piece together a decent setup for under $300.
  8. Are you going to offer complete intake manifolds or just weld on adapters? This maybe just what I need to move out of the smog nazi state of CA
  9. This place is as good as any. Go to NASIOC if you want to be ridiculed or made fun of. If you want to talk to a group of Legacy experts. I suggest you visit http://bbs.legacycentral.org As far as cheap & free mods go. Try cutting the snorkus out of your air intake box. Its the large section bolted to the inside of your fender. Check your junkyard for a "diamond" coilpack. They put out alittle more juice. Your car may already have one. But if not, its a cheap mod. Like said above, none of these will net you more than 2-5hp at the end. The best thing you can do for your money right now would be to get a new exhaust system. Intake and Exhaust is about all you can really do to a N/A 2.2 -Brian
  10. 1993 Legacy Turbo Wagon. 2.2 Turbo, 4EAT Intercooled. 9PSI of boost. 152 miles on 13.3 gallons is my worse (11.42 mpg) 190 miles on 13 gallons is average (14.61 mpg) I do absolutly no freeway driving when commuting from home to work and back again. However, when I do take trips on the freeway, 24mpg is not uncommon. 30mpg if its downhill the entire way. -Brian
  11. it is a 2.0 It is a EJ20T It should be stamped in your block someplace... the EJ20 part. The US Legacy's got the 2.2 liter turbo in their Turbo Legacys. Known as the EJ22T. And Reveen. I dont think the US got any variation of the EJ20. Not until the WRX came over here. The Early impreza's went from 1.8 to 2.2 liter. -Brian
  12. Loud clunks. Shattered metal. That Civic laughing at you cause you spilled all your tranny fluid at the stop light.
  13. You are posting in the wrong forum. That is what I was getting at. This forum is for Subarus between 1981 and 1991.
  14. That STi engine should fix your dash lights Did you check for fuses?
  15. I have a guess!!!! Somebody who doesn't know the difference between Old Gen Subarus and New Gen Subarus??? What did I win? -Brian
  16. Naw, i bought a mountain bike instead... However, i was seriously thinking about it.
  17. By the time you get back I should be in better shape.
  18. Does this mean we get to go mountain biking or what? I WANNA RIDE!!!!
  19. Tear a sidewall... throw on a spare. Just carry 2 or 3 spares with you at all times
  20. "ONE POINT TWENTY ONE GIGAWATTS!!" -Brian
  21. What did the rear hatch say when you bought it Russ?? I KNOW it didn't say RX.
  22. They are standard 15" pug rims. And RS's are a different story.
  23. Yes the Sedans maybe. But from '87 on, all coupes were propperly badged RX and came in 2 colors. Here's some pix of mine when I owned it. -Brian
  24. Most of the RX's your going to see will be White or Black. Except for Russ's RX, which isnt a real RX to begin with. They only came from the factory in 2 colors, white being the most popular. However, there are plenty of GL, GL10 and DL Coupes that came in all sorts of colors. -Brian
  25. I think the legacy guys over at Legacy Central run into this problem when they do a Auto to 5spd conversion. They need to trick the ECU into thinking its still an automatic or somehow tell it is no longer an auto. But these are OBD1 cars.
