  1. If you wanna check out the clips on YouTube, you can find them under my screen name: http://www.youtube.com/subaru4wd Thanks for the compliments. The 35mm pix were hosted on my old server which is now gone, i have them hosted on my new server but have been too lazy to update the URL's. I'll get to it sooner or later -Brian
  2. Its always in 4WD. The lever is to switch from high to low range.
  3. Way to cheat! Any redneck can weld a brat body to a blazer frame.
  4. You have a bad CV Joint. those are classic symptoms. They are also real easy to replace.
  5. Align the marks with the notch on the cam pulley, and the notch on the crank sprocket. There are arrows on each pully and sprocket... DO NOT USE THE ARROWS!!! Use the mark on the backside of the crank sprocket. I used the wrong mark when doing my EJ22 and had to redo my belts after dropping the motor back in.
  6. Hope the guy gave you that car for free! Looks like a good starter platform. Too bad its not the 2.2 though. -Brian
  7. try spraying some starter fluid in the intake and if it fires up, you have a fuel problem.
  8. Ive been talkin with the seller via eBay cause they were out of stock. got word today they had another shipment come in so I jumped and purchased one. Cant wait to get it this is gonna be SWEEEEET!
  9. TEll her to get married at the WCSS and its a Win Win Situation!
  10. Covers the 22R in detail... so yeah should be the same.
  11. If you dont have it already, here is a .pdf version of the Factory Service Manual for Toyota Pickups 1984 to 1995: (RIGHT CLICK AND "SAVE AS") http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1985/1985FSM.pdf It might help -Brian
  12. My 22R likes to adjust the valves all by itself and keep them from closing all the way. I would check the valve clearances. That and the timing chain may have slipped... check that as well.
  13. This is my fav. And was my fav out of all the Subaru's I ever owned. Sure do miss her
  14. That is correct. As long as the wires are arranged in the propper order it doesnt matter. However, if the cap isnt perfectly seated, it will be off center and when the rotor rotates, it will grab the edge of the cap and destroy the rotor and/or the cap. -Brian
  15. Yeah had planned on having it switch a relay. Just trying to find the best thermo sensor.... dont expect my intake temps to reach 1000 degree's.
  16. Do me a favor and edit out all the b.s. if you can, since this is now in the apropriate forum. I made the remarks I made because it was in the other forum which is more appropriate for conversation... p.s. Affordable horsepower to me would be like a $60 boost controller or a $40 crank pulley... $1000 cams are definatly horsepower, cant argue that... but affordable on the other hand.
  17. Those part numbers are NAPA part numbers. Other parts stores will probably have no clue what you speak of.
  18. Rick... how well do you think this will work for monitoring intake temps? I wanna setup one of these to monitor the air traveling from my intercooler into the intake. Im also in the middle of building a water sprayer for the intercooler so to hear this has an alarm function with the ability to close a circuit is sweet. Should be able to have it automaticly trigger the sprayer when intake temps get too high. -Brian
  19. I looked up your '89 XT with my Napa Prolink account through work and here's what I found for Part Numbers: CAPS: EP778SB EP778 1414178 ROTORS: EP845SB EP845 1413174 Like I said above... take the old ones in with you and have them compare with the new ones so you can identify wether or not its correct. I recommend NAPA cause usually they have people working there who know a thing or two (really a hit or miss though) and if possible try and locate the Distribution Center for your city and just go there since there's a better chance of them having the part in stock.
  20. DO NOT REMOVE THE DISTRIBUTOR!! Take your old cap and old rotor in with you and have them match them with the new. What auto parts store are you going to? Sounds like its full of retards... no 4WD option for a Subaru??? You gotta be kidding me! Try NAPA. They usually have everything for everything.
  21. Put the money you would have put into the STi, into your Legacy. Hopped up Legacy GT's are way sexier than a STi anyday.
  22. Can you drop the engine crossmember? then bolt it back up when the motor is in place?
  23. Its possible the distributor cap could be on backwards but its hard to do. Check to make sure you are getting spark from the coil to the distributor first.
