If I remember correctly, arent EA82 strut tops 3 bolt while EA81 strut tops are only 2 bolt? I dont think you can put those in your hatch.

We only talk about Peugeot rims because only peugeot rims have 4x140mm lugs like our Subarus. Miatas with the 4x100 lugs will not work. Therefore we do not talk about them.

There is no transfercase to swap. You will need to swap transmissions. You will also need to swap all the stuff in the rear, including gas tank.

I would want to see the bed, without the topper... and cleaned of all debris before I made any offer at all. But nothing more than $100...

So I started this new job 3 weeks ago with Wave Broadband, and we supply service all up & down washington, Oregon, California... doing tech support for internet, tv & phone. Well, i sit at a PC all day, and there is a bunch of programs we run to do our job... one of them is a chat room. So... this chat room only has other tech support techs, and most of them are in our headquarters near many of you, in Kirkland Washington. I cant get into specifics on this chat room, but it lists everyone in it who is on shift, and we banter about whats going on & pick eachothers brain. Well, after going through this list a few days, I notice a Geoffery R....... and I cant help but associate him to the legendary GeofferyR of the USMB/PNWSEC/WCSS (the oldies will know what im talkin 'bout). So today I decide to bug this dude in our company-chatroom and see if drives a subaru, so through PM I ask... and he replies with a No, but that he used to. So after that I just come out and ask if he's ever been known as GeofferyR on any forums... and sure as *************** its the dude! Turns out I work with GeofferyR of the USMB... we've shaken hands on several occasions, and as soon as I told him who I was we started chattin' it up. The job is already pretty cool, and now it just got even cooler. Just had to give a shout out incase he happens to see this.

Gotcha rick, thanks for the insight. Im thinking of finding some to pay to do the wiring harness for me. Tranny will most likely remain the legacy tranny, as I plan on finding a parts car, instead of trying to piece together everything I need. There are also other variables like front axles that will differ i am sure. I am not sure if i want to 5lug it or 6lug it and stay on the cheap. Still have alot of thinking to do, but it will take a while to buffer the savings account anyway.

After everything said & done, how much were you guys in on your EJ Swaps?? If you don't mind sharing. Ball Park average... I am seriously considering the swap on my Brat, and just need to know where the savings account should be, before I decomission my daily driver.

Avoid AAA-1 Subaru in Anchorage, they are run by crooks. I grew up in Anchorage & loved it. Moved to California almost 10 years ago though. If you are planning on staying in Alaska, being a subaru mechanic can become a lifelong career decision. -Brian
