  1. Wow that is a joke! I don't ever remember having to do that with any of my Brat's.
  2. Wishing you luck getting your Brat passed smog. Have you done any pre-tests on a sniffer?? p.s. My boy loves his new carseats! thanks again
  3. Yeah the best I can tell is I lost signal. Going to have to do something about that i guess. I did build it all by hand. Just ordered some motors, speed controls, a battery & flight controller... and a TON of zip ties. The entire build log is here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1705017 The price of parts aren't bad. 10 years ago if you tried to build this, it would have cost you thousands. Right now, i am into the project at under $300 and that includes the 9ch Transmitter, 4 LiPo batteries & 2 chargers! Also I have been collecting enough spare parts to build another one. But the next one will have 6 motors & props
  4. Because, does he want a Subaru Forester?? Or does he want a Rock Crawler?
  5. This dude needs to re-think his prioritys
  6. Well, I finally got my Tricopter dialed in and was getting comfortable with flight control. Then I decided to do an altitude test and well... I have it on video: The only damage was a broken flight control board. A $30 repair
  7. Nobody cares what kind of jeep it is. Where is this R2 located? Good luck finding parts, thats the only one ive ever seen in a real life picture (as opposed to being in a museum).
  8. You could adjust the clutch cable and maybe get another 6 months out of that clutch. But the way it sounds, is its already on its last legs and needs to be replaced. But I would still try to tighten the cable and see if it helps.
  9. I got a crazy deal on my Lipo's. $4.99ea for 2200mah 3s 20c. I bought two. And I got a Lipo charger for $9. Check this place out for RC stuff: http://www.hobbyking.com They are based in Hong Kong, and it takes 2-3 weeks to get anything. But its cheap as dirt.
  10. Its fun when you can keep it under control. I am getting all the settings on the flight controller dialed in and its giving me a headache, but I think i finally got it. here's some new video from yesterday: But this morning when I was flying, my Transmitter batteries died and my tricopter kept flying in the direction it was heading... straight into my house so now its in pieces. Only thing that broke was a couple nylon nuts & bolts holding my motor mounts to the frame, and 2 props. But im doing a full teardown so I can examine and re-build a few components... and im also going to add some stuff to make flying at night alittle more fun
  11. I guess I will share my new RC Off-Road vehicle And it doesn't get much more "Off-Road" than this! And here's a lengthy build thread to go along with it: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1705017
  12. Just go here and print one: http://www.harborfreight.com/digitalsavings.html
  13. So did your car come from the factory with the 5lug setup or did someone else do a conversion? I also dont see any point in 4 lug rims, but hey... its your project
  14. I have never seen a Subaru with an accurate oil pressure gauge. Your best bet is to install a mechanical guage if you want a true oil pressure reading.
  15. That thing is pretty sweet! I put my AX10 up on Craigslist to fund my next RC Project. It will be off-road alright... like 20' in the air, off-road!
  16. Not a huge subaru crowd here. You might have better luck on NASIOC or i-club, as this forum tailors mostly to the old-school subaru crowd.
  17. Ive been looking at those HPI Baja's that are like 1/5 scale and run off a 4 cycle motor. I dont have enough to pawn to buy one just yet.
  18. His point was, the parts are readily available. Here's something else you wont find for a subie: http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.php/suzuki-samurai-sidekick-geo-tracker-arb-air-lockers.html
  19. Just for refference, here is a friend of mines Suzuki Sidekick, we just installed a 2" lift on it today. Its got a solid rear, 1.8 EFI, and apparently quite a few bits and pieces from Samurai and Toyotas can be made to fit. Thats with 30" tires.
  20. has more power than the other 4cyl models, but not sure about the V6. With the CVT you dont really know you are accelerating or how fast you are going. I had to beat a yellow light the other day and looked down as i crossed through the intersection to see i was going almost 70mph. And I was traveling 35mph when I approached the light. Suprised the crap outa me, and the suspensions real soft. Not like the SE models we test drove, it sucks up all the harsh cracks and bumps in our californian streets. I gave up driving like a granny, and am amazed to still be getting an average 38mpg for this tank.
  21. You think someone with a BRZ is gonna come to the USMB?
  22. We test drove the Honda and we didnt like the lack of power. its a big car, and needs the V6. We need the 40mpg, so we passed on the honda.
  23. Traded out the wifes piece of ************ Ford Fusion and got a 2007 Toyota Camry, Hybrid  I was alittle worried and hesitant about the Hybrid. We test drove alot of Camrys and loved them, but then we saw this Hybrid model and loved it even more. It drives so smooth, and has more power than the non-hybrid model. The CVT is going to take some getting used to, but already i have re-learned how to drive and was able to achieve 38mpg. My wife got 40 today on her way home from work Something feels good about that, after getting 11-13mpg in the Land Tank. Even though its the wifes car, i have been talking her into a few cosmetic improvements. Like maybe this spoiler: And the mesh grill from the SE models: But so long as our gas bill gets cut in half (her commute is 60+ miles a day) i will be satisfied. And I can rest assured she is going to make it to work and back safely.
  24. You need to add an option "never heard of them"
