  1. When I talked to Noah, he didnt mention anything about wanting to make a DVD. He expressed concern about his newbness... Jibs, i'll have to get your tape when I return your pots and pans -Brian
  2. I have 2 tapes that I shot myself. I know Jibs, Noah and a few others have video as well. I'd like to see if I can get as much video as possible so I can whip together a sweet DVD of the show's events. If anyone has any video they would like to contribute, PM me for my address. Anyone who submits video will recieve free copies of the finished product. -Brian
  3. Poop: Yes, seats are in and made the 700 mile drive home alot more comfortable!! -Brian
  4. Rob you told me the story, but i didnt know it was THAT Bad. Damn you and your temp gauges... isnt that what killed your EA81T the 2nd time around? Well, glad you made it. I wish I had video of you making it through the pit, but I was busy doing a CV joint, but i heard the crowd from camp and knew it had to be spectacular. Hope someone got pix of it or even better, video. -Brian
  5. So yeah, was alittle dissapointed not to see some familiar faces, and some that said they would be there, but never arived. Scott In Bellingham: I had parts to give you (and money) to have 6 lug hubs drilled for me. Was hoping to save alittle on shipping and only pay for return shipping. Guess I'll have to get a flat rate box and your address. EddyGordouk: Thought maybe another Sacramentan would be at the WCSS for once this year. You said you were gonna be there, what happend? Edrach and Baccaruda were both looking for you. I got parts you paid for, how bad you want them Spiffy: Was hoping to get to go wheelin with you again, its been years. Sucks you couldnt make it, glad I didnt drag the rear disc's with me. PK Davis: Wasnt 100% sure you were gonna go or not, but would have been awesome to see you again. LaureltheQueen: Me, Noah & Jay missed you this year. And ontop of that...all the Gen1 guys. Only one Gen1 subaru showed up this year, it was a brat. Would have been cool to see a FE or any old school GL coupe/wagon or sedans. Still had fun, met new faces who promised to be there again next year. I know I'll be there -Brian
  6. Zap, you forget... your tires have tread on them Looks like that jeep owner spent too much on his rims and couldnt afford good tires. Shoulda had the subaru pull him out. -Brian
  7. What time will gates open on Friday Eric? -Brian
  8. Seems alot of us who will be driving to the show may have CB's. Theres alot of talk going on about them and what channel to listen on. I plan on using Channel 5. Me and Jibs will be traveling up from Sacramento and we will both have one. Jeremy from NV will have one as well, but he's not traveling with us this year. I hear alot of folks will have them, so this way they know. Lets all try to use Channel 5 if possible -Brian
  9. Damn jeremy, that install looks good! Nice CB too. -Brian
  10. Oh Yeah dunno about USMB shirts -Brian
  11. Got your coat? Its gonna get mighty cold here real soon. Fairbanks is known for creating its own weather patterns and is usually alot colder than it should be in the winter, and alot warmer than it should be in the summer. -Brian
  12. Richie has them No pre-ordering, you'll just have to bombard him at the show. Im gonna stake out his campsite! -Brian
  13. The stock stereo and console will be removed when i fab a new console. This is the top of the iceburg when it comes to interior modifications. The new stereo has a CD-IN plug that my portable MP3/CD player will be using. Wanted to get that installed for the show since I will be on the road for the next 6 out of 8 days. Also spent all morning burning 11 new MP3 Cd's so i wont have to listen to the same song twice As far as your brat, does it have T-Tops? If so, you will have a large plastic piece between the T-Tops you can screw into. Maybe bolt a plate above it to help support the CB. My CB is plastic, and very small and light. So Im not worried about the headliner supporting its wieght. -Brian
  14. I spent the last 2 days in the garage. Yesterday I performed an oil change, installed my skid plate, rebuilt my carburator and installed my CB radio. Today I finished the installation of my speakers and new stereo. Also wired in a power inverter (ok, plugged it in, and mounted it to the dash). Then replaced my spark plugs and plug wires. I have fuel filters & a new CV Joint i wanted to install, but I think i'll just take those parts with me as spares, and do it at the show if needed. I leave tomorrow, so I hope i have everything done -Brian
  15. Craig, Climbs... do you guys have CB Radios? And got a map to this subway? Or maybe a place we can meet you guys. Planning on camping thursday night not far from Mt. Hood. GOnna need to find something to do to kill a few hours before the gates open at the fairgrounds. -Brian
  16. Wired my CB Radio, another stereo with a booster amp, new speakers and power inverter. This is all in the hatch. Just hope my alternator can power everything, expecially while im charging my camcorder Here's my CB Radio. I took the headliner down just far enough to squeeze a piece of fiber-board up top. The fiberboard has the CB mount screwed to it. I had cut a hole just big enough for the cb mount to stick down, and then screwed through the headliner into the fiberboard to hold it in place. Then bolted the CB to it. I actually did all this to my wagon, but kept all the pieces for my hatchback. This install looks alot cleaner than the one I performed on the wagon. I also ran all the wiring through the headliner including the cable for the antenna. About as neat and clean as it'll get. -Brian
  17. Try loosening the clutch cable first. If theres any room for adjustment. -Brian
  18. Chances are me and Jibs will be on Channel 5. I think thats the most popular channel for CB usage. Thinking of hookin up with Soobyclimbs for some trail action to kill some time, depends on when he'll be in the area. -Brian
  19. I-5 is boring. Me and jibs are gonna make a vacation out of this trip. A trip that would take 2 days we're gonna stretch out to 4. Cant wait, just one day to go! -Brian
  20. Installing stiffer springs will screw up your front camber. It will also put more stress on your CV joints. And it will only lift the front of the car... you still need to work on the rear. A lift kit is cheap. Compare the price of a PK lift to the price of any lift for a ford/chevy/toyota. Save some penny's, sell some blood and place an order for the real deal. No need to half rump roast it and mess up more things down the line. -Brian
  21. Eddy... how much time do you got off? Hit me up on AIM or something so we can chat. My plans are to leave Monday after work. THats this upcomming monday, in like... 3 days (Better start packin!). Anyhow, im planning on driving from Sacramento to Reno Monday, and i'll be picking up Jibs in Reno. We'll be cruising from Reno to Susanville Monday and camping there monday night. Tuesday we'll wake up, have breakfast, wheel, hang out, then mosey on up to Klammath falls where we'll find a campground and setup. Wednesday morning... wake up, eat breakfast, find some trails, hit the road and find ourselfs in or around Bend Oregon to camp until thursday. Thursday when we awake, our goal is to make it as close to Mount Hood as possible. We wanna find a KOA or somewhere to camp where we can shower. I dont wanna arive to the show smelling like we've been sleeping in the woods since Monday. So Friday morning we'll pretty ourselfs up, hit the road and arive at the fair grounds whenever we get there. Could be morning, could be afternoon. Gotta meet up with the other NV Crew who should be ariving Friday afternoon and whoever else might be there. Then have a weekend of fun, leave sunday afternoon/night and head back on I-5. Just B-line it straight home and hope to get back no later than tuesday night so I can be back at work Wednesday. I'll be cruisin in my 1984 GL Hatchback with its 3" lift. Jibs will be in his 1982 Brat with a 4" Lift. So we're gonna take our time and do our best not to break down along the way (knock on wood!). -Brian
  22. Love to 2 tone. Now time to do the upper half. Might wanna paint that bumper while your at it But looking good so far. -Brian
  23. Most likely detonation. Make sure you are running Premium fuel, and check your timing. Could also be dirty injectors. -Brian
  24. jcwhitney.com ebay.com the junkyard -Brian
  25. Depends on how he converted it. The WRX has a center diff, which would need to be welded, if that were the case no, your stuck with RWD. -Brian
