  2. 87 DL FWD chrome gearshift knob EJ with a carb CB radio thats all http://s444.photobucket.com/albums/q...11-5-11154.mp4
  3. you got a EA81 I do 14-15 degrees on the towers
  4. the EA81 axles have shorter and weaker cups , compared to a EA82 axle, the center shaft moves out farther if you just lift the strut making it work towards the end instead of towards the middle or bottom of cup, also bad moter mounts will cause axle issues,
  5. internests? never heard that one
  6. I just got this 2" lift done for a board member, thought Id post a pic
  7. on the EA81 I wouldnt recomend just lifting the struts, those axle dont last long like that , I would suggest lifting the struts and the engine crossmember, if your just going for a inch the tranny mount/radius rods can stay stock
  8. it was good to meet you guys good luck with the cars see ya on the trail soon Scott
  9. D/R front and rear axles seperate so you need 2 wheels to spin to get stuck, AWD has a center diff so Just one wheel spin to get stuck D/R has the lowest gear Ive had both with 5 speed , no knowlege with auto
  10. looks good, by chance do you know what stock rear axles are the strongest? I would like to build a offroader but need to know whats the strongest ones, I think I found the weakest ones
  11. 3" blocks with 4" struts thats what my 4" kit comes with its only 1" over stock
  12. yes could be done, if you want set of 3" towers I can do a set for $110
  13. $25 shipped with no bolts
  14. still have sorry wont bend they are as is
  15. both ways are done, with the plate the bar stsys up high less prone to bending on obsticles
  16. Driving technique helps, but when you take parts that are 20+ years old and use them to there extreme things give out faster then normal , keep the tires small and go gentle and things last longer,
  17. theres 1 bolt that mounts the shifter to the body, drop that down and forward with a piece of flatbar, not 4" more like 2"
  18. even with 215/75-15s you will need to trim on a 4" lift, both lifts from me SJR give 1" stress over stock on the axles , I would recomend 26" tires on a 2" lift Scott
  19. I usea 14MM for the hub holes thats for stock subaru studs
  20. my Daughter woke me up at 2:30 am , she went back to bed, and we got up at 6:30, opened a bunch O stuff, went to church and now we will just stay home and enjoy the family and our gifts anf oh we will be makin homemade pizza later , this has been a good year for me , thanks all for your Friendship and Patronage Scott the "S" in SJR Merry Christmas !!!! and a Suubbie NEW YEAR !!!!
  21. heres one 87 GL 31" swampers
  22. axles are a little weak, its been done but will lack low gears, a built engine with low torque would help , will no low gaers you will need more lowend power , I run a EJ22 with delta Low Torque cams on my stock subbie witha 6" lift run 30" tire ( wore out 31s) works well just breaks stubs with a welded rear diff, what are your plans?
  23. get some tubing say 2x4 -1/4" thick cut all the blocks and drill the hols the only hard part is the front struts they need to be at a 14 degree angle and the 2x4 blocks wont work there some 4" pipe and some plates or heres a set Ill sell ya at www.sjrlift.com
