  1. sweet lookin impreza hope when i finally get the outback struts swapped into my legacy,it looks that good.also gonna have to see about ob tires an wheels. by the way, those that have legacys, imprezas, etc would you do the strut swap or lift kit(when an if available)
  2. which brand,an where'd you get em? did a quick search an couldn't find anything decent as far as aggresive tread.
  3. gonna have to visit home depot an give it a try
  4. not to highjack or anything,but.... what's would cause a knocking sound when i wiggle the steering wheel back an forth.sound comes from front-end.mainly with engine not running, can hear it more that way. could that have anything to do with the tie-rods?
  5. i take it your subie doesn't have the factory plug.man i hate it when it's like that. the metra harnesses are great-cheap an easy to wire up
  6. i knew i was living in the wrong country.don't get me wrong,i love living here in the U.S.A but, but, they offer D/R on even the new subies over there.
  7. it's amazing what the brats can handle.hope to own one someday
  8. even though i don't own a 2.5 with the hg prob,a friend of mine that works at the local dealership told me that the prob was being caused by bad gaskets.apparently they used some new type of gasket that had a coating on it.an during warm up an cool down, the slight shifting between the heads an block would wear down or scrape off the coating causing it to leak through.hence the overheating prob.
  9. you looking for used,i take.have you checked with local j/ys the part your talking about is pretty easy to replace.two bolts an your done.(along with removing tire an brake caliper)
  10. trans fluid an filter might need changing.it doesn't feel like trans is slipping does it.you know-give it gas, hesitates, then kicks in an then it gos.that's what my 86 gl auto 4wd did.needed fluid an filter changed, also used to lose fluid so it was usually low on fluid.
  11. dang bad credit got the room to start small collection too...just not the money
  12. my mech has an impreza with the 1.8 and it looks identical on the outside to the 2.2 so maybe some engine parts might fit(external parts)
  13. looks good,to bad it's small to put in a lift or is it:brow:
  14. 1600cc is egual to 1.6 liters i take.1.8 liter engines are the smallest ones i've seen in subies.most of the imprezas i come across are either 1.8 or 2.2 alot of the times when i've searched for parts on-line.most of the time i needed to supply model an trim package.occasionally i had to give engine size.
  15. i take it that's $140.00? (or $14,000. ) strict about emissions over there? or something
  16. i'm gonna take a stab at it.if they haven't really changed since 94 then 70amps.but i'm guessing they did change so it might be up to 90amps now like i said before i'm basiclly guessing at it,so don't hold me to it.the 70amp rating is from my owners manual from 94
  17. ok so i'm ten days late, happy b-day zap hmmm so 5 yrs you say hmmm
  18. i've always been told that it's the safest to go with new, specially when it comes to the engine.
  19. ok then i guess i did mess it up thanks for the example sometimes i understand things better that way.
  20. my 94 legacy gt holds 15.9 the other week i tried figureing out my mpg.i really hope i did it wrong cuz i came up with like 11mpg :-\ now hows it go-you fill up the tank, reset trip meter, next time you fill up again divide how many miles you've traveled since first fill by how many gallons it takes to fill up again. right??? if so then i screwed it up by misunderstanding how to do it.
  21. that's the same as on my 94 legacy.one thing i found out that you have to be carefull about is.when pushing forward,be carefull of the tab that you took the screw out of. several times while pushing assembly forward,it released an hit that tab on part of the car an snap, broke it off.
