  1. i agree, knowing what exactly the angle gives you more of a ability to brag:brow: at least not without having to show it.
  2. so that's why i see alot more grammies driving subies cept for the occasional
  3. not meaning to hijack this thread,so does outback struts bolt right in .i'm sure i'll have to switch out the tops for the ones on my struts. i own a 94 legacy gt wagon an would like to give it a couple inches with out the lift.don't want to go that extreme yet.
  4. now that's a bumper an if you get cold.....firewood:brow:
  5. i would of inquired a bit, while i was at the dealer,i myself have never heard of it. yah maybe in my television set but not my subie:-\
  6. not sure if it's the same but on my 94 leg,it's .44(i believe,or +/- 1) don't think you really need to torque them down, tighten till the seals seat then1/4-1/2 turn after.that's the most i know, everything else i ask my mech about to be sure.
  7. is there another tire place in your area? if so did you try them? when it comes to tires on my legacy, the place i go to will install what ever i ask them to.as long as it's not a set of mismatched.so they can't be held reliable for probs down the road.
  8. now this was about 6-7yrs ago, back when i had my 86 gl.there was a road that would go around the backside of the local airport.the road made a slow 90 degree turn.on the right side of the turn was a large open field that just tempted me to cut across it,well i did an was doing fine untill i made that one mistake.. i let off the gas a'lil to much an bogged down to a stop.i opened the door an the mud/grass mixture was up to the door sill.sat there a few mins watch the traffic go by while looking at me.i ended up getting out under my own power but i think i toasted the therm cuz after that it would keep over-heating.that prob when't away after replacing the thermostat an topping off coolant.there was also the time when i did some urban off-roading with my 94 an got beached on a snow/ice bank, ended up getting help from a lil cutie driving by.(again 4-5 people drove by an didn't stop to see if they could help)
  9. i know what you mean about the brawling,i use to take my 86 gl wagon were trucks couldn't go:brow: as far as the automatics,i've had one an no sir didn't like it.i loved my 5 spd d/r.wish she was still here. gonna keep an eye out for one now,but until i finish paying for my 94:o ,i'll have to wait for another car purchase.
  10. this has been bouncing around in my head for acouple days now.say if you were me an owned a 94 legacy wagon gt,5spd,4wd. would you,if you had the chance switch back to a ea-82.something like a gl,gl-10? of course i'd prefer something like i owned before(86 gl wagon 5spd with D/R ) it's funny that i think of this now,the guy i got the 94 off of,had a 85 gl wagon,4wd,auto
  11. cold air intake or k&n filter that goes in stock location,cat-back exhaust for starters.of course you mpg is gonna go down
  12. you know, seeing these pics of the older subies(ea81,82s)is really making me want one.only prob is there's not that many around here.at least none i can afford.sucks when you gotta watch what you spend:( you wagon in the back ground in last pic,is it a gl? looks like the one i use to own(as much as i can see)same color an the roof rack an lil wing on the rear
  13. ok the more i look at it the impreza the more i get envious
  14. ouch...yup i guess that would be a bad thing
  15. check out http://www.boxer4racing.com go under the sti/wrx link an you should find it.don't think it's a stick on though

  17. i have a feeling it's cause i have thicker then normal tranny fluid in to quiet down the bearing noise.
  18. bump reason for bump,is there a chance i could brake something if it happens again an i am force to drive it home to allow it to relax(the v/c)
  19. if you can get it done, more power to yah. just remember ....you can do anything in a subaru
  20. not a prob, whatever i can do to help out a subie owner. i see that rallitek also has lsd for both front an back:brow:
  21. your in the correct catagory.from my experiences in the past, not sure why they go by a diff name at times. for example=legacy (u.s. name)liberty=(none u.s. name for same car) :-\
