  1. http://www.tyres1.com/search/products/90127.html i came across these which i'm thinking of getting once i get my outback strut swap done.not to mention once i get the money for the tires(four for $356.00,not including shipping and mounting them) http://www.tyres1.com
  2. i did a check the other day,i'm not sure if it good or not but i figured that i get roughly 21mpg :-\ she is a 94 with around 157,000 on the odometer.will have to work on getting those numbers up.what are some things i can do besides making sure tires are properly inflatted(already know about that one) btw 90% of the driving is city and 10% is highway.
  3. i don't know about anyone else but,i don't always do what is said in the manuals don't get me wrong,i know my legacys limits an don't plan on crossing them at this moment.i did use to take my 86 gl wagon with d/r 5spd places that some trucks would get stuck.
  4. on spike tv there's a show called extreme 4x4,they were giving away something very similar to that except it didn't have any body panels.if i remember theirs were powered by a 170? hp honda or something engine.man that thing was sick.they showed it off by crawling up a wall, front tires were about four feet up the wall.
  5. looked like it was a blast is it me,or do you only have one wiper going there??

have you ever pointed that out to him,be fun to see his reaction.....nah he'd just say you were crazy or something like that out of denial
  9. as it turns out they closed off some of the wider trails,of what i saw when i went up there the other day the only trails open are only wide enough for dirtbikes(unless you don't mind scraping branches along your paint) did manage to get some mud on my subie though
  10. yup just pull off (towards the tire) i found out it's best to leave it off an using some grease on your finger, put some along the inner edge to prevent dirt an such from contacting the body an creating rust again. a month goes by,clean it off an recoat.
  11. myself,i use walmarts super-tech.during the cold seasons i use 10/40 during the times when it's hot(summer) i use 20/50.

you'd be surprised at what some ediots would buy(fords) i've seen trucks with paint jobs that looks like its been off-roading with fake mud spray along the fenders
  13. i switched to a set of ceramic compound ones an never been happier.they cost me about $37.bucks but came with a life time warranty.if they ever faid to a certain measurement,i get a new set.only prob i had is they make your rotors blackish and you have a chance of chewing up your stock rotors if you do alot of hard braking.i guess that's why the parts store guy mentioned that i should think about some aftermarket rotors like crossdrilled or slotted. i had those in my 92 will gonna have to pick up a set for my 94.stopping distince was shortened.
  14. this past winter.i had all-seasons on an it wasn't bad, could of been better traction.if you would feel more secure when the snow starts falling, you could just pick up a set of j/y steels an pick up a set of snow tires. wasn't sure how much experience you've had driving in the white stuff
  15. it's good to hear.seems like she's living up to her name.
  16. man that had to suck.at least you were able to get her home under her own power.
  17. i've seen it done before on-line,course it was a subie rally car.

  19. i'd make the drain holes bigger, why deny your subie(an you) the joy of being offroad:banana:
  20. i was told about an article the other day from the local newspaper(new hampshires union leader)about this guy that has a car that ran on bio-diesel.well i guess he filled it up one day an spilled some on the ground.living in an area were bears are,the smell caught there attention an the bears basically tried to eat his car.plus he left the cap off so they must of had a field-day with his car
  21. welcome aboard, hope you can find that wrx you want.i'd get one but i'd lose my liscense.
