welcome aboard by the way, since your from vermont....... you know of any legal roads to four wheel on in the e.burke area? bunch of us is going there for some camping and what not and the maps i'm looking at are a couple years old. -
so wednesday when you go for your inspection.make sure you have your stock tires on with cinder blocks in the back an for good measure air down just a bit. besides the height of the bumper, will everything else pass? i always worry when it comes to inspections. good luck

VIN check
subie94 replied to soobyfan's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
thanks alot.you helped ease my mind.i checked at carfax and it showed there was something but wouldn't say what unless i paid.turns out most was just service done, one accident back in 2000. -
you able to get a sound clip,or video clip with sound.? how about some guages? oil, exhaust temp, etc i just placed an order with j.c.whittney for a electrical oil pressure gauge and adapter kit for $32. bucks (that's with shipping) for some weird reason there's no oil pressure gauge in my 94 legacy, just a silly light.i'd prefer to know the pressure then have a light go on when pressure gets low.or is that light there to let you know when oil is low?

i tried to get the guys number(the one that ownes the pit,but it must be unlisted)still got enough time to write him.maybe i'll give that a try,but seeing that the town clerk i talked to said she doesn't think he'll allow us due to insurance reasons. will keep you all posted -

well i contacted the town clerk of granby, small town near by(18-20min drive).was told by her that pretty much any 4WD or Class 6 roads.had to explain what they are.some that she knows of are not owned by the town an the owners would have to be contacted for permission.but by what she tells me,pretty much of granby is unpaved:brow: . as far as the gravel pit that's there near mud pond,i got the address of the company that ownes it an if i get the time with in the next couple of days,i'll write them a letter and see if i can get permission for us to enter it and use it. she's also gonna send me a town map with all the local roads that are open to the public.when i get it i'll take a look see an tell you guys(an gals) what's up with the off-road situation. will update you all. peters zaun (i believe she said peters, not peter.can't remember) 822 old farm road west burke, vermont 05871 that's the owners address (of the gravel pit)if anyone wants to beat me to the punch an write to him,go ahead -
mine's in the same place an mine's a 94.as far as the hum(gear noise) if it's the same thing as i have then it's your input shaft bearing.i've been told it's not a something that has to be taken care of right away.it was a friend of mine that told me that and he has been working on subies as long as i've known him(going on 7yrs now)he's had one of his cars do it for yrs.even though i was told that it's no big deal,i'm gonna be taken care of it soon.

at what point did he jack it up at?
