  1. that size equals out to 27.7x8.5 so offroadsubaruguy is more then likely correct, were he's running 27s and has plenty of room so... one way of finding out is to pick up a cheap one an do a test fit
  2. same here, those shots were sweet!!
  3. i'm there, finally any ideas about a date,i thought i read some thing around september just as long as i give work 3wks notice for request for vacation :-\ (wouldn't mind giving them 2wk notice)
  4. i know it's not a subie but has anyone thought of doing the same with a subaru?i'd give it a try but don't have a welder
  5. i enjoyed the pics but didn't see any movies :-\ still some cool trail pics.also loved this pic:
  6. in my 94 legacy i get 23 mpg, that's mainly city driving with maybe about an hour total of highway driving during the week.i use engine braking to slow the car abit then reg brakes go on. on the highway last week i did prob a big NO-NO!! was at about 65mph an coming up to the off-ramp i needed to take.realised i was going a bit to fast for it so what do i do?downshifted it from fifth to third without braking first.tach shot up to about 5000rpm (was at about 2500rpms) i did slow down though, quicker then my reg brakes would have done.(everything seems ok with those)there doesn't seem to be any effects from the downshift boo-boo compression braking can't be that bad,18 wheelers do it
  7. looking good, it kinda sucks renting an apartment, can't do any building like your doing.stuck with a de-crap-ated garage that has no power, manual lift door an no insulation(nice an breezy during winter) you ever think of putting in a skylight? or two.
  8. welcome to the board. i used to own a 86 gl-10,oh did i love the turbo sad thing was that it was rusted way beyond help main places of rust was underneath near where suspension mounted, trailing arms too(?)
  9. there's mine (94 leg),way down at the end of my road there's a impreza wagon (96-99?),just about a block away there's another legacy wagon.looks like a 92.not to mention another legacy wagon around the corner and a sti (white with carbon fiber hood an trunk lid)that's sitting at a garage on that same street(around the corner)
  10. had a feeling ob springs would make for a stiffer ride.is there any extra lean when going around corners? it doesn't make you feel like your gonna fall over does it?
  11. is there a height diff between stock legacy springs and outback springs?not sure if i want to do any drilling.also thinking of picking up the scorpion lift springs.
  12. though i have a 5spd,i have heard good things about royal purple.seeing that atf is used for power steering, maybe i'll try it out to see what effects i get
  13. i have to agree with soobmater, looks really nasty.almost looks like....? um melted brownies or something.as far as cleaning the mud out,i've never had to cause i never let it in.
  14. awd is better then fwd any ways(that's how i feel).if you want fwd then try an find a subie with a d/r tranny that way during summer(fwd) and during winter (4wd) i agree with rcg.be happy with what you have. :-\
  15. holy snizzle and i thought loading a twin hospital bed(non electric) with mattress, hospital bed table and a couple misc things was a load full for my old 92 legacy.
  16. man that sucks about your audio equipment growing legs an walking off.i have had that happen acouple times. looked like it was fun in the mud(till you got stuck)
  17. i was thinking the same thing.on the 92 i had it was doing the same thing but after changing the front calipers i found out it was the hill holder. rlynam- do you have auto or standard?if auto then more then likely caliper,if standard then i'd check the hill holder to make sure the cable's not stuck(keeping it on) unless you have hydralic clutch then i'm not sure if those have h/h device
  18. well i've seen the yellow tops go for around $160.-$180. if you have a local audio shop in your area, they might even have em in stock
  19. ok,now that i looked closer i see it
  20. i just took a look at them, looks gnarly.must have great traction. how's the road noise with them? guess i'll be forgetting about those other tires
  21. http://www.tyres1.com/search/search.cgi?web_code=BFAT here's a better link.only size in 14's are 27x8.5x14 for $89 bucks
  22. well as it turns out,it's dead.it charged up but as soon as i load tested it,volts dropped down to nothing (4 volts) but when load was removed, volts in battery went back up.so to be on the safe side i just went to walmart an picked up a new everstart battery.granted it doesn't have as much cca(525) but it is brand new soo.... :-\
