this is the one i want to install this is what my stock sounds like, after i have aftermarket installed.will do a recording an load it here. -
the way i see it there is no dumb questions, only ones that aren't asked. H.H. is Hill Holder device that assists you when taking off when on a hill(facing uphill, doesn't work facing down) only on manual trans. once you've mastered 5spd you really don't need it,unless you want that to fall back on if your not sure if there is a chance of rolling back.

does anyone know what these are an what they do??? always wondered but never asked till now. the items i'm wondering about is the things that look like some kind of switch,i thought it was but didn't notice it turns out the light. as far as the things that are red, orange an clearish.i think i know what they are for :-p

i'm running a 94 leg with the good old 2.2 engine.stock struts, which i'm planning on switching out for outback struts.as far as tires,185/70/14s again as soon as i do the switch.i should be able to put on 205/75/14s:brow: . also have these as wheels no trimming to the fenders. as much as i know i'd love one.prob gonna put a lift on the back burners for now.

on the 92 i had an the 94 legacy i now have,i had the same probs(dragging brakes)but my prob was up front.turned out it was the H.H. which i've come to believe holds the brake pressure to the front.on the 92,i thought it was a seizing caliper.went to the trouble of replacing it an it.that's when i found out that it was the H.H. senseless rambling

nice find you got there, last week there was a 83 subaru wagon in the free ads(4x4) engine ran an tranny was good but the guy said it wasn't driveable and i'd have to have it towed.of course silly me i didn't ask why .if it was intown,i'd been all over it but it was couple towns over an didn't even want to think of how much a tow would have been. it may have been really rusted out,to the point of braking badly.i could see it now, puttin down the road then snap! as the back end falls out due to rusted mounting points:eek: try explaining that to the cops

i took mine off yesterday an now it seems that the car drives somewhat better, thinking the HH was sticking a little.the way i look at it,if you need the HH to help you out.then you need to either practice alot more or get a automatic.:-p oh btw, took mine off on a 94 ej-22 that has the return spring for the clutch on the pedal itself(which i also had to replace awhile back.) -
looks very COOL!!!! as far as paint......bright ORANGE or LIME GREEN (gotta make sure nobody trips over it )

i've seen the subaru wrx rally car(wrc) do the complete bottom side.of course i'm sure it's for air flow but with some of the hits they take i'm sure it's also to help protect the belly parts.

about a month back now i did my own.changed oil pump seal, cam seals, timing belt and front covers(kinda broke taking old ones off) gotta say that was a learning experience.did have help with it though.took about 5-6 hrs.there was a delay cause i had to wait while my friend went to parts store for a seal he didn't have. though it took so long i had fun, learned something new an now i can say-yup i did it myself

Is your Subaru dealer competent?
subie94 replied to PictureChasers's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
he stopped working on the older subies awhile back.he got tired of all the rust.just deals with newer ones(earlier 90s an up). so i'm not to sure if he'd have any luck with getting older parts either.alot of time,he just gets info from his friends there. i should actually correct myself anyway,he doesn't always get his parts from dealer.i believe about 10% of the parts is from them, the rest is either from j/y or parts store.alot of the time the parts needed are usually minor ones like gaskets, brake pads, etc sorry if my earlier post was misleading in any way -
