  1. Great, now i better check the country of origin on the box that the replacement rotors for my 92 legacy are in... J/Kidding..:-p..but like jamal said
  2. the "seek the peak" rally meet seems like it'd be cool (and easy) to go to..
  3. for accurate readings,i'd do what Mykeys Toy said and wait till there's a sound off.not only will you get a good reading but you may also win something..the place i went to just had a cheap (so the guy said, also said it cost $3,000 for it to be replaced) and all i got was 128.9 using a comp cd w/only low freqs on it..
  4. gonna have to contact seller and arrange a time for me to drive up and look at it.roughly 2hr(highway) drive north.. other thing is,if i was to buy it and get it running..should i take a chance and drive it back home or have it towed.. :-\ i guess if i have a tow company on speed dial.. of course there's also this..not as old but is old school http://nh.craigslist.org/car/701486104.html cheaper,closer..says it's a 5spd(wonder if dual range, doesn't say)
  5. http://nh.craigslist.org/car/661122433.html $750 for something that's not running..owner thinks ignition issues also http://nh.craigslist.org/car/685887482.html i've always wanted a svx now if only i could find a way to get the money.. tried getting a loan, but haven't heard from bank yet..
  6. sorry about the brat..glad you came out ok. had a women pull out in front of me w/my 86 gl wagon and i ended up hitting her at her right side fender towards the bumper.i guess i just about took the front end off..my soob was still drivable.front end was shifted sideways, pushed my rad into engine(but didn't spring leak somehow..) and something riped a hole in the hood..:-\ (insult to injury, she didn't have insurance and out of work..) my experience,State Farm doesn't like to give money out..make sure you stand your ground.
  7. cool..gonna have to give it a try.like i said,i got some stuff in need of matching paint.(wonder how white would look??) myself i can't decide to build new box or buy one... (had a cheap dual 10" box in my other 92 leg w/200 watt amp and was pushing 130 decibals..should have yours checked)
  8. looking good.. what did you use for paint? cause i need to do some painting myself.. (how's that box sound?)
  9. did a little search and it looks like the pics were posted (album created)03/10/2008 http://www.m4x4a.org/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=42527 so ya,i don't think it's there anymore..
  10. Hey now...not everyone from N.H. has problems driving in snow.and going by the tags, they better hurry and reregister it..
  11. while driving around for approx an hour today,i passed by about 20.everything from loyale to new legacys.. here's another interesting thing i learned today.(anyone looking for a job with subaru?)i'd go for the warehouse position but it'd be a bit of a travel to work.. http://www.brightmove.com/ATS/SearchPublicRequirements.do?companyGK=14464&pageSize=20&sortOrder=2&sortDir=desc&prevSearchTerm=%25&startRecord=1&prevPageSize=20&searchTerms=%25
  12. i'm having same problem on drivers door.i think it's leaking between black seal too.. if i remember correctly, you should be able to pull the seal off.i found that water can get under the black trim piece that's above the door opening and if there's a gap in the rubber seal then water will sneak in and drip on you.. anyone here able to find those vent shades that allow you to have window open and not have rain come in..can't find one for my year(wasn't sure if one from a newer year would match up..something like this http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2004998/c-10111/Nty-1/p-2004998/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10111/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=vent+shades i joined legacycentral awhile back, but now can't remember my username and password..gonna have to re-register
  13. i've been thinking of getting one of those pulleys myself..you notice any difference after changing it? http://users.adelphia.net/~nv1z/allen92Legacyintake.jpg Here's a (bad) pic of the filter i put on my old 92 legacy(don't have it anymore, but i do still own the filter).i'll get around to putting the filter on the 92 leg that i have now.. how's that muffler sound..? anything like this?-- http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c34/beretta92d/?action=view&current=vidclipwithoutsilencer.flv
  14. Dang..big difference.(except for that left over blue on pass door.) BTW-what's this...?? picachurat?
  15. my 92 Legacy L wagon has 217,611(previous owner did alot of highway driving with it).Head Gaskets, cam seals, oil pump seal and water pump was done after i got it a year an a half ago along with 2 struts,1 axle shaft, exhaust leak at the manifold.does use some oil but no more then a quart during a months time..(maybe 2).no leaks now if only i can get the rust under control...
  16. Sooo..Yup total amount for the brakes are gonna be $76.84($18.88 for pads and $57.96 for both rotors..) only reason i paid $28.98 per rotor was cause the $19.99 ones were back ordered and no time to wait..suppose i could of called around but... i am gonna have to see if i have a spare caliper just in case the right side does in fact need replaceing
  17. i know here in N.H.(mostly western/nothern parts) you can't go a mile without passing several.. can't remember where, but i did read somewhere that subarus were the ultimate new england car..
  18. that's what i was thinking(left side caliper problems).seems to be more rust on left side.but hard to tell due to the fact that on left side, theres rust on the inner/outer edge of the rotor and right side only has rust on inner edge(like in the pic).pins seem to be sliding ok too.. when i first got the car(1.5yrs ago) i checked the brakes out and of course i only checked one side(which was left, which seems to be about the same as it was then). so tomorrow i'll be spending $19 for pads and possibly $40 for 2 rotors.. ain't that the truth..right side was always muddy..or clean(depending on what was on the side of the road(water or mud puddles)
  19. yah,a friend of mine can get me rear rotors for like 12-13 bucks a piece..so might as well get new ones. as far as the cat gos...she's always doing something crazy..
  20. if you start hearing bad noises from your brakes..don't procrastinate and check em.. brake pads really shot and rotors gonna need turning(or replacement) odd thing is that rear left side's fine but rear right side is shot..haven't checked fronts..rear was making 90% of noise also, don't allow the rust to get bad..some is mild but there's some good size holes here.. (click on any for larger pic) so..yup,i know what i'll be doing this summer(brakes done by tomorrow..hopefully) :-\
  21. i thought umbrellas were created to prevent stuff/people from getting wet...? where abouts did you mount them?? bumper/roof rack?
  22. awesome jumps but truely sad finish...

got one of those last week..mounted it with ball mount on rear pass side.(still need to run coax to it though and gotta get pics) didn't realize how tall it'd be..towers over the roof (leans inward) as a side note..always make sure ball mount is tight, other wise you'll be dragging the tip.(found out on the highway that this can happen.slight flat part on the tip of it now) *edited to add pic of mounting* circled in red is where i'm supposed to attach the "copper part of the antenna cable" and circled in blue is where i'm supposed to attach some other part of the antenna cable..(can't remember what part) has anyone else had to connect to their antenna this way?
  24. subie94 replied to Jamminpotato's topic in Off Road
i'll have to check out the few that are in the next town over..

hate to bring back old threads from the dead but couldn't see starting a new one for simple question... are there antennas out there that are factory tuned and don't require adjustment?? and still give you good swr numbers.. thing is i don't have anything against them,it's just that i'd have to buy a swr meter to do the tuning and can't see spending the extra $$ if i don't have to.(trying to work with a small budget) i already have a cheap cobra radio that i finally put back in the car.. along with a cheap walmart antenna(that's tunable) i realy wanted something taller.(just doesn't seem like i have enough reach..)
