  1. Explain how this is comparing apples to apples? There is no comparison nor should there be. Large bore diesel versus small bore gas... please! 800 whp is a great accomplishment. Dyno queen? I am pretty sure I saw it drive down the street. Random comments just to be heard, nice work guys.
  2. Oh, they have snow. Just had a big melt already. Still 4-5 feet on the roof tops of the buildings/shelters in the campground. I have a pic at home that shows it. I'll post it tonight.
  3. I will have to look when I get home. I don't remember the brand. They suck though. Really miss the Swampers.
  4. Went to Evans Creek on Sunday. A beautiful start to the day We stopped to adjust air pressure. It was very icy on the road up. Not as much snow as the last time we were there though. The entrance to 311 was a solid sheet of ice. The only traction to be had was in the snow on the edges. Took several tries to get up the first hill. The ruts/holes were so deep. As you can see, not much sidewall buldge @ 12psi. I later had to air down to about 6psi to get up the rock bowl hill Here we are at the lookout at the top of 311. It just started to snow. It later was snowing pretty hard. The black Rubicon on the right is fully loaded and set up very well. I heard that he has ~ $60K into it. We caught up with my brother and his 400hp K5 Blazer. The thing is an absolute beast. But, it is just too big for most of the trails at Evans. He has a a Joyota(Jeep/toyota) in the works. Should make for a cool trail rig.
  5. Nice rig. The flex looks pretty good. I get real close to that with mine as well.
  6. Any time you improve the grounding a vehicle will perform better.
  7. I am guessing that one of the crossover lines is rusted by the looks of the rest of the undercarraige. You need to follow the lines back from the drum and find the leak. Your life depends on it.
  8. If you have one or the dimensions I can have custom ones made. Contact me at the shop. Ken Delta Cam 1-800-562-5500. If there is enough interest we could have extra sets made and maybe lessen the cost per set.
  9. The bolts on the tank are for the sender. The pump is located in front of the tank. You can get an aftermarket pump that meets your fuel pressure rating and wire it in.
  10. Are you sure the pump is not located in the front of the tank like the rest of the EA82's?
  11. If you found rust you are probably going to have to drop the tank and clean it good. Pump is also probably filled with the brown love as well. Get a new(known good) pump. clean and rinse the tank or get a different one that is in better condition. This may have been the issue the entire time. One thing you can do to test this is set a fuel can under the car and run a line from the can to the inlet side of the pump. See if the car will start and run.
  12. I was gonna say, who is the friend here. But you beat me to it.
  13. It should be the same as the front. 36mm
  14. Just put about 5 gallons of fresh fuel in the tank. It will mix in with any moisture that may be in there. Might I also suggest that when you ask for help that you try to let us in on all the details. Lawm mower gas, change this part, added this part and so on. Makes trying to figure out the problem a little bit easier.
  15. Definitely, they do get confused for each other quite frequently. I would address all the connections in the engine bay from the look of oxidation in the pics. Use a good elecrical contact cleaner and some pipe cleaners to get into the tight areas.
  16. Well isn't that nice. Maybe let people know that you are just quoting the troubleshooting sections next time. I'll bet you were good at writing reports in school huh?
  17. If the drivers side belt slipped it would not run at all. Period. It is possible that you have bad gas but not very probable. Go to your local parts house and buy a can of MAF cleaner. CRC makes a good product for that. The code that flashes when you plug in the green connectors is just the 12 code. Simply, it is the code that flashes to tell you that it is communicating and working. Check for carbon build up on the cap and continuity through the plug wires. Have you replaced the plugs yet?
  18. Take a step back and ease up a bit! BTW, which manual are you quoting from? The distributor will not "jump" timing without other issues. The belt is good, the distributor turns freely, it tries to start but doesn't quite catch. Does it run if you add starting fluid? Bad grounds will cause poor running but should not stop your car. To the OP, have you inspected the temp sensor? That can also cause fuel related starting issues. Did you add new gas after your 200 miles? If not than that is not the issue. Did you ever clean the MAF? If your code check stated that was a problem clear it up first.
  19. Seriously, stop telling him to remove his distributor. His code 21/22 is where he should have started in the beginning. Clean the MAF. Clean all grounds AND connections. Clear each code as it comes until the codes are clear. Being that the history of this car may not be 100% know.
  20. Jesse, which way did you guys come out? You should have tagged with us. The snow wasn't as soft when we went through. Still very tough when you got off the trail.

Good idea, but, snatch blocks basically cut your cable length in half. A 2500 only carries about 50 feet of cable. You get the idea.

The actual ratio is 1.5 of vehicle weight. I had a 4500 on mine and used it more to pull others out of trouble. Brought several bigger rigs back onto their wheels from their roofs. Neccessary equipment for the winch, snatch block, gloves, tree-saver strap, clevis' of various sizes and 20' tow straps. A couple lengths of chain are good as well. 8K winch is too big and heavy for most Subarus. Especially if you have it permanently mounted.

With, you are still in right? Call me tomorrow. I found a carb!

Should be 4 or 5 with me. Only one Subaru though.
  25. yes, there were a few. One of the best is a Forester.
