  1. The flywheels are all the same. The pressure plates are different.
  2. Needs to be leaned out. Take it to Warren. All he should have to do is adjust the carb and maybe the timing a little. Just note where everything was set before and make adjustments accordingly.
  3. Post something when you set a date. There are enough people within an hour of you that you should be able to get some experienced help.
  4. Send me the final design and I will find out if Subaru will indeed bat an eyelash.
  5. Guess away, it's no secret. Doesn't mean we'll tell you if you're right though. LOL
  6. Two problems come to mind immediately. First with the idea of turning the engine upside odwn would be the oil pan, oil pickup, and the oil system in general. Second, by turning the transaxle upside down you run into the issue of oiling the transaxle. The passages all work top to bottom. When turning 180 degrees is that the passages will not run in reverse. No oil means burnt bearings. Adapter plates and VW or Porsche transaxles would be the first choice for me if I was to start a project like this.
  7. We just completed the son's car. '93 Impreza "L" 1.8 5sp AWD Now we have a '93 Impreza "L" 2.2 5sp AWD. We had the motor from a '96 OB Legacy. Ended up installing headgaskets in it though. Resealed it with new belts and clutch. Runs much stronger than the 1.8. Next will be the sway bars, new suspension and air intake. I will be adding a 2.2 y-pipe when I part my Legacy out. Then have a catback built. Next in line for the garage is the '96 Brighton. It get's the 2.5 in place of it's 1.8.
  8. I am running RWD offset, chev truck. The offset of the wheels will make the difference.
  9. I'm running 31X10.50's on 8" wheels. I'll get some pics up soon. This is on the trail. Should give you an idea. They stick out pretty far. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=8361&size=big&cat=500&ppuser=5 Here's one from my driveway. This really shows the offset. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=4313&cat=500&ppuser=5
  10. Yep, but looking at the driveway I see it was two different days. Wet vs. dry
  11. I remember that day. We stripped the old yeller Brat that day. That was just a gathering at my house on a Saturday. Pretty cool!
  12. Look for a button with the letters mph/kph. I think it may be on the trip computer. I'll look at the GL10 in the driveway and let you know.
  13. Yes! A website will be up soon. Vendors, food and items for your cars. Everything you could want including on site camping and many people with the same hobby.
  14. You could always email them.
  15. Late '83 auto's had hydro lifters as the '84 auto's and later EA81's. The first thing to determine is where you are. Rochester, NY or WA?
  16. Craig, those pics are way too big.
  17. Shadow is in the middle of an upgrade. He reopened the board early but still has to finish our tweeks to the system. Be patient, it's better to have a almost complete system than not one at all.
  18. That would definitely be a lot more casual. See if everyone else is OK with it.
  19. Any chance of making this a weekend deal? Us poor, undead souls that work graveyard can't make weekday events very well. If not, I understand.
  20. To answer your question Shawn. Yes, they have been retro'd into EA81 vehicles. Just run a hot lead to the control box. You do not need any of the sensors for it to operate. I am considering doing this to the big Brat. I just have to find a place to mount the controller and pump.
  21. Do not use spare wheels for full time driving. They are not designed to run full time. Too thin and not heavy enough to handle the daily grind.
  22. He said great board members! And welcome to the board!
  23. This isn't the hat thread. Show logo's and graphics.
  24. That cleaned up real nice. That may be the best way to go.
