Bushing upgrades?
Any recommendations for bushing(suspension, steering, sways, mounts, etc) upgrades for the '96 Brighton. Before you hurt yourself laughing it really does need it and will benefit from it.

Notice: Wholesale OEM parts from Auburn Subaru
Qman replied to rzirker's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe website is still going to be available. The deal is that Jason will no longer be running it. It will be run by another dealership. Jason has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have the best pricing. By using the toll free number you will still get the same low prices and excellent service but you just won't be able to order online through the site and deal with Jason. It was an agreement that went down a while ago, that this other dealer would get the website eventually anyway. If we continue to use Jason they will be able to show that they have enough traffic to start up their own site again in the future.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This car is fun and fast. Perfect power 6 and a beautiful cat-back exhaust were the finishing touches.

In a Brighton...
Cool. I didn't have trouble with the bolts when I did the brakes. I had previously installed a sway bar and had all the fun I wanted with them then. Note on bleeding the brakes. When you are by yourself do a gravity bleed and it will get most of the air out. Not all of it but enough to drive it, carefully.

I didn't change the proportioning valve. I was told by a couple of Subaru techs with many more years of experience than me that it wasn't neccessary. I don't notice any drag. Ask them why it would drag. I mean the brakes have to do the same thing either way. Push the pedal the shoes/pads apply. Release the pedal and the pads/shoes release. Am I missing something?

I should have been a little more informative. I have an Impreza Brighton so all Impreza bars bolt right in.

All the painters tape looks kind of funny. It is a great idea though. Looks like a great time. Hope our 2nd event of the year is as fun.

In a Brighton...
...and out a RS Just finished the '96 Brighton conversion. A learning experience for sure considerring I am an old skooler for sure. Resealed the motor and added a lightened flywheel to the mix. A 4.11/1 5sp from a Legacy along with the rear disc brakes. That conversion was even easier than the EA's. New GR2's with WRX springs along with a rear sway bar. Which may need to be upgraded as it seems a bit small. Happy so far but I have an appointment with the exhaust guy and then to get it tuned a little better.

EA Performance with a Twist!
I do not know if they make them that small. I haven't seen an EZ out that small. Maybe replacement is the best decision. Get one from outside the rust belt.

- 93 legacy Cam Angle / TPS.... which causing problems?
Qman replied to mikeamondo's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHave you checked the timing belts for tension? When was the last time they were changed?- heavier tie rods
Guarranteed to break other tihngs for sure. They work like fuses when you hit things to hard. Better there then somewhere else.- New Hi Rise Console found
First thing I thought of is that it looks like a toilet.- EA82 Puzzle, SPFI too rich, Why?
Without the O2 sensor these computer controlled engines have no reference to go by for fuel control. When they are unplugged or nonfunctional they go fat causing poor mileage and a number of other problems. That's why they are there! Temp sensors are the biggest cause of drivability problems of all. Idle, cruise and WOT issues can be attributed to a bad temp sensor. A code check should reveal these issues.- Me=Owned:(
The blue collar alternative to the WRX and STi swaps!- Ok, give it up, someone has it...
Will, you already have it. Be creative young man! - 93 legacy Cam Angle / TPS.... which causing problems?
