  1. Check the right forum and learn even more quickly. Moved;)
  2. The only place I can see that it might be difficult is right behind the fuel filter. Everything else from manifold to tank should be pretty straight forward.
  3. Theres a nicely restored 360 at the local dealership here. They have another complete one they got for parts and ended up not using. Its pretty beat, but I am trying to make a home for it
  4. Just remember - at 7.3k., WOT, and 10psi (TD04), bad things can happen
  5. Stock springs are just fine up to 6-6.2k (Thats right about where redline is)
  6. Keep in mind as you are rotating housings. That turbo has an internal wastegate. The actuator is on the housing. may have to come up with a new way to mount the actuator. EDIT: I don't have any of the larger VF series here to look at, I could be wrong. I did have a VF40 in my hands a few days ago, but the mounts on that thing are so rump roast backwards, it would be quite a bit of work to make it fit.
  7. I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for.. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22241&highlight=ea71+conversion But there is some infor from some pretty smart cats about parts mixing and matching. BTW - my brother lives in yelm. His woman owns a smoothie stand or something like that out there.
  8. Not sure what the price difference is. But yeah - Tstat is one of those things that should be dealer only. The rest seem to have an unacceptably high failure rate.
  9. You might look into a JDM non-DCCD 6 speed. Probably save you some trouble. Alternatively, There are some aftermarket DCCD controllers out there that allow a wider range of front/rear bias than the stock USDM controller.
  10. Nothing like NASIOC OT More like chillin in a coffee shop with your friends. Not to mention that all new thread in our OT have to go through mod approval.
  11. Correct - gotta save the ball busting for NASIOC. I surf NASIOC more than most here, and I enjoy not having the constraints of civility, but acting here the way one would act there is a quick way to get banned. We don't even bother with points here. There's no 'rules and FAQ'. One might be told once that you're pissing someone off, but then again, maybe not. Might just go to log in one day and find that you aren't able to. Just behave and be nice. Additional note. We tend to put up with less crap, but even with our mostly informal system, we still have a lower ban rate per capita than NASIOC. Plus, we've been around longer
  12. Thats why I didn't keep my dynomax box. Didn't want the damn cats sneaking back onto the car when I wasn't looking.
  13. Don't take this personally. But in WA, that car is worth maybe $50 as is.
  14. Thats the one year of EA82 car/motor I have never had.
  15. And a scoop.. and a grill, and suspension, and wheels..:-p Your paint looks better though. Not to mention you are better looking than I am
  16. Odd. Not a single one of my EA82Ts have had a pin. The few carb motors I have had have all had pins. I always use a carb crank pulley now - because it has a pin and because it weghs half as much as the turbo pulley.
  17. See - here is a perfect example where a little typo can make a big difference Personally, I try to stay away from the big hoes
  18. A 30 is too big for an EA even with cams, bore, stroke, etc....
