  1. Here's the one everyone has seen. No more pics until the current project is done zzz
  2. I guarantee you won't want it when I get done with it. BOOM! can not even begin to describe the horrors facing this motor if it does not do what it is told.
  3. True - the boom is usually preceded by fun... I think. Honestly, its been so long I don't remember. Rob - this is likely my last EA82T as well. Not sure where I'll go after that - possibly to a non-subaru. More likely I will give in and go EJ (turbo of course)
  4. Thats actually the third word. The first two are: Cheap. Plentiful.
  5. Royalties man, royalties. Pay per click. I thought I taught you better than that.
  6. Sounds cool. Definitely need pics. I have always wondered how all that stuff would work out in a wagon.
  7. The subaru is cool, but that old landcruiser truck makes me much happy in pants.
  8. Thanks, brother! Hop on to MSN sometime - I need to bend your ear about a few things.
  9. Actually, he said Advice to the OP - a little clarity when requesting help will go a long way here.
  10. Radio Shack You've got questions. We've got blank stares.
  11. Which is exactly what I would do if it were mine.
  12. 1 - Its only there for if I have to be out 2 - People like you and your suburban are the reason I don't take the subaru, kia or acura out in crappy weather.
  13. A tiny bit shouldn't be anything to worry about if there are no associated odd noises
  14. Ohh - winter Ice Storm Equipment - gotcha Except mine is white. I'm not about to get out on the road in TX, in the ice in a 2700 pound car, only to be made road pizza by some a-hole in an H2. If anyone is going to do the squishing, its going to be me
  15. We've been doing japanese crate motors here for a number of years as well. Perhaps they just save all the crappy ones for you guys. Out of a couple dozen I have done over the past 15 or so years, I have only had one questionable crate motor from japan.
  16. You had to have an education to figure that out?
  17. Thanks Patrick. Our conversation the other day was really the catalyst for me to get back on this. Don;t hurt yourself being in too much of a hurry to get that thing out. I will likely be out here dinking around with it all winter. The only deadline I had was for earlier this month for a rally-x, and I already missed that PS - don't worry too much about cleaning it up. A dirty turbo will give me the excuse I need to fill the parts washer back up :-p
  18. I sort of do. I'm am the last person you will ever hear 'keep it stock' from. However, I am a big proponent of 'keep it tasteful'. I love the 70s subarus, toyotas, datsuns - all the little cool looking sporty japanese cars. They have so much potential to be good looking, tastefully done cars. You on the other hand have taken your car more of a 'retarded teenager on LSD' direction. If thats what you were after, cool. I wouldn't own it though.
  19. If it were me, I would just grab the strut/spring assemblies from the wagona and put them on. the constant load that you're carrying will make up for any difference in spring rate. Might want to lay them out side by side before hand to see how much of a length difference (If any) there is.
