  1. Bad coil will do that.. Ignition amplifier will as well.
  2. You don't have an LSD, unless someone put it in there after the car came from the car lot. If you had an LSD, there would be a tag on the diff that said LSD. But they didn't come on automatic cars
  3. GM owns 20% of FHI, the parent company of subaru. Foreign Vs domestic has been dead for a long time. Chrysler's 'american' products are made in canada, the Saab 9-7x is made in Ohio and not available to any other market except North america( not even in sweden, go figure).. and so on and so forth..
  4. is it from a dealer or a private party? that will make a big difference in overall price. Given the front end wobble and the CEL, both of which could turn out to be somewhat expensive to fix, I would offer about $6000 for it.. But then again, resale on soobs isn't very good here.
  5. an added note to that .. my 87 GL-10 TurboWagon( originally 4wd 3AT) has a rear sway bar. However, Steves 87 GL-10 TurboWagon (Also origianlly 4wd 3AT) has no rear sway bar.. Go firgure
  6. Ocean shores WA has all sorts of different police calrs.. they have a vette, a 32 ford coupe.. Seems that had a lambo or something a few years back, but I could be wrong.
  7. RX is a car made by subaru.. Its an EA82T.. came in 2 and 4 door. RX conversion usually means that the person is using the RX D/R transmission.. Nothing to do with lights
  8. In either scenario, you would probably lose performance.. mounting directly to the head would mean you were only getting exhaust pressure from one side, instead of both.. that would make for slower spool up and less air getting pushed back into the intake.. adding 3 feet of pipe before the turbo, would also equal less pressure going in, which would mean less pressure going out
  9. In the spirit of peer pressure.. do it andy.. do it.. you know you want to.. everyone will like you if you do it.. you want to be liked don't you?
  10. 14 mm deep for motor mounts. 14 and 12 mm wrenches and sockets.. and lotsa masking tape for marking vacuum lines and wires and stuff .. plus some screw drivers and pliers and stuff.. its really easy.. take your time and pay attention to how it comes apart.
  11. In theory, the little O ring should be enough.. But I always slather it with blue RTV as well
  12. Yeah.. the one day we get snow in Dallas.. And I was in Austin for the week.....
  13. Thats weird.. My EA82T doesn't have it either.. nor did it have any of the EGR crap on the original manifold.. now it has a different manifold, with EGR, but the return tube is blocked off.. maybe I should drill it and tap it.. I haven't been real keen on driling extra holes in my heads though.
  14. Its intended for spare tire use and towing. Otherwise, its meant to be AWD.. Being a 98, it isn't '4wd' its AWD. there is a difference. Being an automatic, 90% of your power is already going to your front wheels until they slip and give the tranny a reason to send power to the rear. There is no advantage to be gained by disabling the AWD on your legacy. In answer to your question about the switch, You don't have 4WD, so theres no need for a switch:D
  15. If that was mine, those back seats would come out.. I would set up a couch.. a little bar.. Calebs mobile Turbo Lounge!
  16. Bummer.. I just spent a week in austin.. I could have had a look at it.. But its a 4 hour drive from where I usually am..
  17. i agree with Skip.. Perhaps a pic of the bad sensor would help us determine what actually broke. pictures and Kilowords and all that..
  18. non STi? Go to subarus website and download the Factory Service Manuals. If you intend to keep the car, you're gonna need 'em. See this thread
  19. Don't forget the heads.. I believe you will need those too
  20. Hmm.. My 88 auto 2wd Gl-10 sat at 4000 at 70 mph.. weird
  21. I tought that place looked familiar. Yeah Patti, I know thats your dork. You got yourself a pretty good dork there
  22. Where was this pic taken? And who is that dork on the end that doesn't even have a lift
  23. Actually, it has been changed since the question was asked.. I looked too.. all it said before was springfield... No state listed. Pablo. It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak.. But it could be a carb problem. You said that the engine has some trouble when cold as well.. what kind of trouble
