  2. That looks like my car! same year, same model, same wheels, different color. Whats your hood scoop from? and what size tires are those?
  3. Subaru Of America. There are just some things that should be gotten from the dealer.
  4. you get a sawzall, a hammer and a cutting torch.........
  5. linkage is probably a little off and he isn't getting it in 2wd.. just neutral(the spot between 2wd and 4wd)
  6. your pressure seems normal within acceptable limits. stalling at idle and won't restart? there are a few things.. fuel filter, cap, rotor, normal tune up stuff. But I had a similar issue with my 87 turbowagon.. it turned out to be the ignition module in the disty.. swapped the dist out for another one and the problem went away. As for your engine noise.. cant tell ya much without hearing it.. soobs make some weird noises sometimes.
  7. Sounds like the factory anti theft system is doing weird stuff(even if you don't have it, some of the components are there).. fully charge the battery off the car, then reinstall. Problem nay go away, or you may have to hunt down the reset button under the dash.
  8. I found one of those in a wrecking yard 8-9 months ago.. richie has it now.. Hope to see it finished some day
  9. Nope, you would have to use EA81 Turbo/MPFI heads.. and wiring harness and ECU.. and crossmember.. and sopme other stuff too
  10. What color is the smoke?. That will be a good indicator of its origin
  11. Front left for you guys huh? .. Mine was front right.. yanked it out and replaced it. problem solved.

  13. Theres another thread about this one.. It says it fits in a brat.... So I emailed him and asked what year brat.. Got no reply.. go figure..
  14. Thanks Matt. Lemme know how much I owe you for all this.. I know it wasn't your fault.
  15. Matt.. Speaking of MBC's.. any love from the post-office yet?
  16. I think he was asking CCR for possible info on this builder $85 for shipping isn't bad.. Wonder what kind of quality of parts they use for rebuild
  17. Another wrenching woman. Cool! Austins a good guy(anyone remember the time he drove from reiter to home and back to reiter for a steering knuckle?). Easy to put up with and fun to wheel. As for matt........
  18. Being outside North america, The BYB People would be the way to go, I would think
  19. $700? for what car? they arent that much for our old soobies.. at least not around here
  20. Theres a whole slew of things to address..I will only advise on the ones I know. 1. Car dying when warm and not restarting. These are classic symptoms of a bad coil or ignition amplifier. 2. Knocking. without more info, its hard to tell. Maybe one of the more experienced local guys can give it a listen for you.. But check the obvious external things like the water pump(they can make some funky noises when they're on the way out.) Also, if there is a knock, it will play hell with your knock sensor and the readings it is sending.
  21. Didn't lumpycam have a V6 in one of his soobs for a while?
  22. Yup. That is the resistor pack for the blower motor.. I keep a spare for just such an emergency
  23. With no lift, its goingt o be tight with anything taller than a 60 series tire. I run 185/75/14 (25 inch tire). I have good fender clearance, but still, if I get going too fast when out playing around, the reartires rub everyonce in a while. I had 205/70/14s on there and the just rubbed like hell. Even on the street, every time I took any sort of a corner they rubbed.
  24. Very good question.. I just don't know:rolleyes:
