Correct oil pressure for 90 Turbo Loyale
calebz replied to zeus503's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
your pressure seems normal within acceptable limits. stalling at idle and won't restart? there are a few things.. fuel filter, cap, rotor, normal tune up stuff. But I had a similar issue with my 87 turbowagon.. it turned out to be the ignition module in the disty.. swapped the dist out for another one and the problem went away. As for your engine noise.. cant tell ya much without hearing it.. soobs make some weird noises sometimes. -
Nope, you would have to use EA81 Turbo/MPFI heads.. and wiring harness and ECU.. and crossmember.. and sopme other stuff too

$700? for what car? they arent that much for our old soobies.. at least not around here
-
Theres a whole slew of things to address..I will only advise on the ones I know. 1. Car dying when warm and not restarting. These are classic symptoms of a bad coil or ignition amplifier. 2. Knocking. without more info, its hard to tell. Maybe one of the more experienced local guys can give it a listen for you.. But check the obvious external things like the water pump(they can make some funky noises when they're on the way out.) Also, if there is a knock, it will play hell with your knock sensor and the readings it is sending.

Didn't lumpycam have a V6 in one of his soobs for a while?
-
Yup. That is the resistor pack for the blower motor.. I keep a spare for just such an emergency

With no lift, its goingt o be tight with anything taller than a 60 series tire. I run 185/75/14 (25 inch tire). I have good fender clearance, but still, if I get going too fast when out playing around, the reartires rub everyonce in a while. I had 205/70/14s on there and the just rubbed like hell. Even on the street, every time I took any sort of a corner they rubbed.

Very good question.. I just don't know:rolleyes:
