And yet your not even old enough to drive it legally... :-p

I must dissagree,lol.. The reason being, when i have my all terrains on with the pug alloys, in fwd, going threw a mud hole, it gets dirty, and fast..
-
Another thing is that maybe i missed, what model and year of soob do you have? some roo's arnt even going to have adjustable suspention, so check that out while your at it..
-
Ok with the lift blocks, what you are doing is dropping down the X members and the struts at a (most of the time) equal level. If you just jack your suspention up(about +1.5"max) it will screw with your camber and you will go threw axles faster. The easiest thing to do, is just buy a 3, or 4" lift kit. They are relativly cheap.. They are pretty much a body lift though, the main thing they do is provide more fender clearance so you dont have to chop so much, what helps ya is the tires. If you really dont want to lift it.. Just run some 14" pugs, and some 25 or so inch tires. That will help out quite a bit, and with just 25's, you wouldnt need to trim/pound very much at all. Also check out the Offroad Sticky in the offroad tech forum. It explains just about everything you could ever need to know, hope this helps..

215/75/15's calculate up to 27.7" tall, and 27's actually measure up to about 26.5.. So is AA even producing ej lifts anymore? i thought they like were getting out of the subaru business or something, lol.

looks pretty sweet dude:headbang: nice work

Painting the hatch, need some suggestions....
soobmater replied to 75subie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I'd say leave it white, because it looks very nice. You could do blue stripes, and other misc. things. what about yellow stripes? -
Uh, its not so much putting in lift blocks after you go above 4". Unless you are going to stay with like 28" tires or so.. You will definatly want a t-case, and for that you basically need to build a subframe.. But, i wanna see some fullsize pics of that beast:headbang:

I dont really remember what the 390 pugs look like, but these are normal pug 15" alloys....http://usmb.net/gallery/clay/000_0257?full=1 Check the market place, they are for sale pretty often.. edit: after seeing them, they look a lot like 14" alloy style.

Well those khumo m/ts arent that bad, check out bias super swampers:lol: .. They shake so dang bad and are so loud.(which doesnt bother me but bothers my dad) it was wierd though, because i never even noticed the extra shaking before my tire fell off that time If its a daily driver, just get some decent all terrains. Just depends what you're idea of offroad is.
-
wow someone is excited (i was the same way when i was getting a lift ) Yea just go with the 3" man, also just dont run as big of tires? only run like 25's or something smaller, that way ur gas milage will stay closer to stock then like 28"'rs or something
-
actually, deep tread on subarus' probably isnt as bad as i thought it would. The relative lightness of these cars most likely helps them a lot. I remember reading a shootout in a magazine one time, and it was done with like a ford F250 or something like that. The all terrains were wayy better suited for that truck, but i could image that is one heavy motha haha. Running M/ts might not be to bad of a idea, as long as they are aired down, i'd say just use those..
-
yea but things with paddels have plenty of power to turn then, Surface area will be the greatest help, also air down a lot. The m/t's will dig holes faster, just keep momentum up if you dont have any balder tires to swap to.

Reminds me of austins old tow truck lighted wagon. The camo looks pretty good, i really like the switch panel.
